Job Summary
The Assistant Director of Operations will lead and direct the operations of the Professional Services Central Billing
Office (CBO). The successful candidate will be responsible for the direct management of the Accounts
Receivables (A/R) management teams including operations managers and accounting clerks. He/she will provide
analytical support to senior leadership and provide analysis of open receivables and payer denials.
Job Responsibilities
Direct the operations of the central business office of Professional Services with primary focus
on accounts receivable management.
• Net collection rate
• Total Revenue
• Rejection Rate
• Improvement business processes
• Performance versus budget
Develop new processes to streamline and automate AR follow up and insurance verification
*Reduce DIAR
*Increase collections
*Improve collection rate
Document and oversee implementation of written operating procedures for the department.
*Provide information regarding proper AR follow up standards
*Ensure billing system is utilized by staff to the fullest

Department Duties
• Practice Operations & Standardization
▸ Provide operational oversight across all OB/GYN practice sites, ensuring consistent application of policies,
workflows, and service standards.
▸ Lead the development, implementation, and ongoing refinement of standardized clinical and administrative
workflows across the department.
▸ Conduct regular site visits and operational assessments to identify gaps, implement improvements, and
share best practices.
▸ Establish and maintain a department-wide operations playbook and standard operating procedures (SOPs).
• Staffing, Workforce Planning & Culture
▸ Partner with HR and department leadership to assess staffing needs across all sites and ensure appropriate
right-sizing in alignment with volume and operational demands.
▸ Lead recruitment, onboarding, training, and performance management of administrative and clinical
support staff.
• Performance Management & Quality Improvement
▸ Establish operational KPIs and dashboards to monitor site performance across access, efficiency, quality,
and patient experience metrics.
▸ Lead root cause analyses and implement corrective action plans in response to operational deficiencies or
adverse trends.
• Strategic Leadership & Collaboration
▸ Serve as an operational thought partner to the Director of Finance & Operations and departmental
leadership.
▸ Manage relationships with key institutional partners including Facilities, IT, HR, Compliance, and Patient
Experience.
▸ Support department growth initiatives including new site development, service line expansion, and program
launches.
• Financial & Resource Stewardship
▸ Partner with the Director of Finance & Operations on budget development and management for operational
cost centers.
▸ Identify and implement cost-saving and efficiency opportunities without compromising quality or
staff/patient experience.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in healthcare administration, Business Administration, Public Health, or a related field Required
