Responsibilities:
  • Support the Director of Nursing in leading and developing a team of nursing professionals
  • Oversee daily nursing operations, staffing, and scheduling to ensure quality care and regulatory compliance
  • Ensure high-quality resident care through comprehensive assessments and individualized care plans
  • Assist with admissions, transfers, and discharges in collaboration with interdisciplinary teams
  • Support quality improvement initiatives, including survey readiness and plans of correction
  • Coach, mentor, and develop team members to promote engagement and performance excellence
  • Maintain compliance with policies, procedures, and state and federal regulations
  • Partner with leadership and education teams to support training and staff development


Requirements:
  • Active, unencumbered RN license in the State of Michigan
  • Strong background in electronic charting software technology and Microsoft office suite
  • Comfortable with being on call
  • CPR certification required
  • Knowledge of long-term care practices, regulations, and standards
  • Previous experience in long-term care or with geriatric populations preferred
  • At least 1 year of nursing leadership or supervisory experience
  • Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
