Position Summary

UBIT is seeking to hire an Assistant Director for Identity and Access Management (IAM.) This role is critical to strengthening the university's cybersecurity posture and future strategic goals. The role will provide centralized oversight of identity lifecycle processes, enforce access controls, and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements thereby reducing risk to institutional systems and data. This is a campus-based position with the possibility of hybrid work.

In this position you will:
  • Manage and administer core and integrated identity platforms
  • Provide governance and oversight to identity frameworks, policies, and systems
  • Supervise and direct the IAM analysts and engineers
  • Interface with the Information Security, Research IT, and other UBIT teams as part of portfolio services, and to ensure proper compliance and continuity of service
  • Manage related vendor relationships where applicable

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field with 5 years of experience in IAM or related security domains or master's degree with 3 years of experience in IAM or related security domains ; Equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered
  • Strong knowledge of identity lifecycle, authentication protocols, and access governance
  • Leadership experience managing technical teams
