Job Summary

Develop, coordinate and maintain the accounting system and budgetary control for the College while complying with local, state and federal legal requirements. Enhance the accuracy of the College's reported financial results and ensures that reported results comply with various governing standards.
Essential Duties

Assist in the development and maintenance of the accounting systems and budgetary control for the College while complying with local, state, and federal legal requirements.

Assist in the preparation of various financial reports (ex IPEDS, SR-A6, annual audit) as required by external sources.

Aid in the preparation of all interim financial reports, ensuring reporting mechanisms are properly reporting the financial activities of the College.

Ensure sufficient funds are available to meet ongoing operational and capital funding requirements.

Ensure policies, procedures, systems and internal controls are based on accounting (GASB) and best practices and support the strategic goals of the College.

Assist with establishing and monitoring of an appropriate financial and reporting internal control structure.

Maintain and analyze the budget in such a way to follow the state regulatory agencies.

Lead regular College-wide training sessions to educate staff about their budget travel reimbursements, Banner finance, etc.

Collaborate with the Student Financial Aid, Payroll, Human Resources, Bursar, Institutional Research, Information Technology, and other College stakeholders on a regular basis on financial-related projects and implementations.
Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration.

Three years related experience in an accounting or finance role.
Preferred Qualifications

Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license.

Ellucian Banner experience.
