In this position...

The PTME CAFM and Investment Efficiency Machining Supervisor, an individual contributor, is responsible for leading the end-to-end CAFM/Investment Efficiency work streams to ensure world-class equipment operational performance and CAPEX utilization. The selected candidate will collaborate with PTME commodities, technical specialists, operations, finance, MSAP, and equipment OEMs to deliver CAFM/Investment Efficiency initiatives. The selected candidate will be required to
travel to equipment OEMs and plants as required. A critical skill needed is the ability to collaborate, partner, and work across PTME, operations and other skilled teams to gain alignment, support, and possibly resources to deliver initiatives. The PTME Process Methods Machining Manager will report to the Global Machining and Casting Chief Engineer.

Responsibilities

What you'll do...
  • Work with Global PTO plants to develop multi-year CAFM projects to improve quality, operational performance, and useful life
  • Work across PTME machining commodities, technical specialists, and OEMS to ensure CAFM project viability and effectiveness
  • Ensure standard CAFM project submittals meet required thresholds
  • Benchmark internally and externally to ensure CAFM projects deliver best-in-world results
  • Develop process to track CAFM and program spending, by asset, to ensure appropriate CAPEX spending and to prevent program/CP overlap (Health Chart)
  • Develop asset health chart to forecast long term equipment useful life spending requirements
  • Work with finance, pre-production study team, and MSAP to ensure proper CP funding requirements
  • Assessment of alternative suppliers to current/existing machine tool OEMs to develop competitive alternative OEMs
  • Ensure study responses meet investment efficiency metrics
  • Develop, track, summarize investment efficiency actions
  • Ensure asset reuse/deployment opportunities are evaluated
  • Work with plant engineering and MOS teams to understand constraint/MOS data
  • Be onsite as needed to work with plant teams to better understand and to deliver CAFM projects
  • Benchmark internally and externally (i.e. suppliers, OEMs, other industries, etc.) to ensure more competitive program spend (travel as required)
  • Champion Manufacturing Strategies, Procedures, Guidelines, Bill of Process, MDS/MPS, spare parts, PMs, lessons learned, and high hurts updates based on CAFM learnings


Qualifications

You'll have...
  • BSc, Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial or Electrical preferred)
  • At least 10 years' experience in the Manufacturing space
  • Prior machining process engineering
  • Experience with Casting & Machining equipment such as, but not limited to CNC, Gears, Axles, Engine Transmissions, Die Casting and/or Continuous Casting
  • Proven use of Failure Avoidance Tools and Failure Mitigation Tactics
  • Proven constraint management experience (familiar with FIS/IIOT systems and constraint decks)
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong skills in presentation materials for leadership
  • Strong communications skills

This position is leadership level 6 and ranges from $115,500-$218,100.

Final determination of salary grade will be based on candidate's skills and experience, and base salary will be set within the applicable range according to job scope, responsibility and competitive market value.

This position is hybrid. Candidates who are in commuting distance to a Ford hub location may be required to be onsite four or more days per week.
