This Opportunity

WSP is seeking an experienced Asset Intelligence & Digital Twin Specialist to support transportation infrastructure clients in developing, integrating, and operationalizing digital asset ecosystems. This role will support transportation asset modernization efforts, and digital delivery initiatives for state Departments of Transportation (DOTs).

The successful candidate will possess hands-on experience implementing digital delivery, Building Information Modeling (BIM), reality capture, geospatial integration, and digital twin solutions within real-world infrastructure programs. The position focuses on connecting engineering, construction, operations, and asset management information through interoperable workflows that transform project data into actionable asset intelligence.

This position it is a strategic and technical role focused on data interoperability, digital asset information management, reality capture integration, and digital twin enablement across the transportation asset lifecycle.
Your Impact

Asset Intelligence and Digital Twin Development
  • Support development and implementation of transportation digital twins for roadway, bridge, tunnel, tolling, and operational infrastructure assets.
  • Establish workflows that integrate BIM, GIS, engineering, reality capture, and asset management information into connected digital environments.
  • Develop digital asset information structures that support planning, design, construction, operations, and maintenance.
  • Assist clients in transitioning from project-centric information management to enterprise asset intelligence frameworks.

Information Interoperability and Data Integration
  • Design and implement information exchange workflows between engineering, geospatial, construction, and asset management systems.
  • Support integration of asset information into Common Data Environments (CDEs), Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) platforms, GIS systems, and digital twin platforms.
  • Develop requirements for asset information capture, validation, governance, and lifecycle management.
  • Support implementation of open standards and interoperable information exchange practices.

Reality Capture and Existing Conditions Modeling
  • Manage integration of LiDAR, photogrammetry, imagery, and survey information into digital delivery and digital twin workflows.
  • Support UAS (Unmanned Aircraft Systems) imagery collection and processing programs.
  • Develop and validate reality meshes, point cloud datasets, orthomosaics, terrain models, and existing conditions models.
  • Integrate reality capture data with BIM, CAD, GIS, and digital asset information systems.

Asset Information Management
  • Define asset information requirements and digital handover processes.
  • Support development of Asset Information Models (AIM) and digital as-built strategies.
  • Assist with information governance, metadata standards, classification systems, and data quality management.
  • Support integration between project delivery systems and operational asset management platforms.

Client Advisory and Implementation Support
  • Facilitate workshops and stakeholder engagement activities related to digital delivery, asset intelligence, BIM, and digital twin implementation.
  • Assist project teams in developing roadmaps, pilot programs, and implementation strategies.
  • Support development of transportation-focused digital delivery standards and governance frameworks.
Who You Are

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Asset Management, Geomatics, Geographic Information Systems (GIS), Construction Management, Architecture, Information Management, or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years of experience supporting digital delivery, BIM, asset information management, digital twin, or interoperability initiatives within infrastructure programs.
  • Thorough understanding of several of the following concepts: Building Information Modeling (BIM), BIM-GIS integration, information requirements management, digital as-built development, Common Data Environment (CDE) implementation, and ISO 19650 information management principles.
  • Working knowledge of LiDAR processing and management, UAS/drone imagery workflows, photogrammetry, reality mesh development, existing conditions modeling, and point cloud integration.
  • Practitioner-level knowledge of applying advanced modeling concepts to transportation infrastructure, including highways and toll facilities, bridges and structures, tunnels, Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), maintenance and operations assets, and transportation asset management programs.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital delivery and collaboration platforms and tools such as Bentley iTwin, Bentley OpenRoads, Bentley ProjectWise, Autodesk Construction Cloud, and Autodesk Tandem.
  • Advanced knowledge of reality capture applications and tools such as Bentley ContextCapture, Leica Reality Capture Solutions, Pix4D, Autodesk ReCap, RealityCapture, and DroneDeploy.
  • Advanced knowledge of geospatial applications and interoperability tools such as ArcGIS Pro, ArcGIS Enterprise, and FME.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering transportation, infrastructure, or asset-intensive projects involving multiple information systems and datasets.
  • Strong understanding of asset lifecycle information and digital delivery processes.
  • Experience integrating engineering, geospatial, reality capture, and asset management information.
  • Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder engagement skills.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Asset Intelligence: Experience with Asset Information Modeling (AIM), Enterprise Asset Management integration, digital handover processes, asset data standards, data governance and metadata management, and asset lifecycle information management.
  • Asset Management Platforms: Experience with IBM Maximo, Hexagon Enterprise Asset Management, Cityworks, Cartegraph, or AASHTOWare Asset Management Solutions.

Compensation:

Expected Salary (all locations): $153,200 - $227,500

WSP USA is providing the compensation range that the company in good faith believes it might pay and offer for this position, based on the successful applicant's education, experience, knowledge, skills, abilities in addition to internal equity and specific geographic location.
