Full Job Description
Hudson River Trading (HRT) is seeking an ASIC Technical Project Manager to join our Hardware team. In this role, you will drive the planning and execution of complex ASIC projects, partnering with engineering teams and external vendors to deliver high performance silicon on schedule.

You will coordinate with our Software, Architecture, Design Verification (DV), Physical Design, System Design, and Data Center teams. The ideal candidate combines technical fluency in the ASIC development lifecycle with strong judgment, organization, and follow-through to identify risks early, resolve cross-functional blockers, and keep programs moving.

Responsibilities
  • Own integrated project plans across multiple overlapping ASIC projects, working with technical leads to define scope, milestones, dependencies, ownership, and delivery goals
  • Coordinate handoffs and sign-off gates across architecture, RTL, DV, physical design, implementation, manufacturing, and post-silicon activities
  • Track critical paths and execution cadence; surface schedule issues early and drive recovery plans with engineering leads
  • Assess technical, execution, partner, and quality-of-results (QoR) risks, and drive mitigation plans to closure
  • Run program reviews and working sessions that produce alignment and timely decisions among teams with competing priorities
  • Keep engineering leadership and senior management current on progress, risks, tradeoffs, and the decisions required of them
  • Own relationships with IP providers, implementation partners, and EDA vendors - setting deliverables, timelines, and escalation paths - and support multi-party contract negotiation and review alongside internal legal and business development
  • Evolve our project-management processes, reporting, and operating rhythms as the program grows

Qualifications
  • Experience in technical project management or engineering program management in a semiconductor, ASIC, or closely related hardware environment, backed by an electrical engineering background or hands-on involvement with ASIC projects
  • Working knowledge of the ASIC development lifecycle and enough technical depth to be credible with engineers across the design stack - you can follow handoffs, pressure-test estimates, and recognize where a program is likely to get stuck
  • A track record of delivering complex programs that span internal teams and external partners in fast-moving, ambiguous environments, including direct work with vendors on commercial terms
  • Strong facilitation and follow-through - you build alignment without formal authority and close loops without being chased
  • Proficiency with project-management and tracking tools such as Microsoft Project or Jira
  • Familiarity with RTL-to-GDSII execution tasks, including synthesis, DFT insertion, implementation, timing closure, ECOs, and sign-off checks preferred

The estimated base salary range for this position is $150,000 to $250,000 USD per year (or local equivalent). The base pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. This role will also be eligible for discretionary performance-based bonuses and a competitive benefits package.
