DescriptionBoulder County Community Services Department is seeking to hire an
Alternative Sentencing Facility (ASF) Behavioral Health Treatment Supervisor. This position serves as the Supervisor of the Treatment Team within Boulder County Community Justice Services (CJS), overseeing a team of clinicians who provide group and individual therapy to residents of the Joe Pelle Center. The team delivers treatment services to individuals participating in alternative sentencing programs and community corrections. This role ensures the delivery of evidence-based, trauma-informed care aimed at supporting behavioral health stabilization, fostering personal growth, and promoting successful reintegration into the community.
This is a
full-time, benefited position that will work
Monday - Friday 9:00am - 5:00pm including a rotating on-call schedule, with some flexibility based on the needs of the individual hired. Some evenings may be required to support group facilitation. This position will work out of
3260 Airport Rd., Boulder, Colorado. Under Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) guidelines, this position is
exempt.

Examples of Duties - Provide leadership in the planning, coordination, and implementation of treatment services, ensuring the integration of evidence-based, trauma-informed, gender-responsive, and equity-centered practices tailored to justice-involved populations
- Oversee daily treatment unit operations, including direct supervision of staff, clinical supervision in line with agency standards, caseload assignment, performance management, team development, recruitment, and onboarding
- Oversee the completion of intakes, evaluations, and/or assessments for referred clients by the treatment team, and fill in for these duties as needed to ensure continuity of care, providing coverage for individual and group therapy sessions when necessary
- Assess and respond to mental health crises, providing intervention and management for high-risk clients within the scope of licensure and availability
- Ensure compliance with all internal policies and external regulatory requirements, including those set by the Division of Criminal Justice (DCJ), Behavioral Health Administration (BHA), and other relevant oversight bodies; and monitor clinical documentation and practice to ensure adherence to professional and regulatory standards
- Select and oversee the implementation of evidence-based curricula and treatment models, promoting a therapeutic environment focused on recovery, accountability, and long-term stability
- Manage program budgets and coordinate with the Behavioral Health Manager to ensure responsible fiscal oversight
- Utilize data to monitor outcomes, identify trends, evaluate program effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement
- Support agency-wide change initiatives by identifying successful practices, fostering innovation, collaborating with other supervisors, and helping measure the impact of change efforts
- Participate in the rotating on-call schedule with other supervisors and managers to provide after-hours support and guidance for the Joe Pelle Center
- Participate in CJS and County wide leadership opportunities
- Any other work duties as assigned by manager

Master's degree in clinical psychology, counseling, social work, or a related field with active Colorado licensure (LPC, LCSW, LMFT, or equivalent) and
4 years of experience in behavioral health or a closely related area.
Additional related education may count towards required experience.

- Ability to assess and triage clinical needs based on RNR, behavioral health diagnoses, and risk level
- Bilingual and bi-cultural service provision
- Knowledge and experience of criminogenic risk factors and how they intersect with mental health and substance use disorders
- Understanding of the impact of systemic racism, poverty, trauma, and oppression on justice-involved individuals
- Knowledge of culturally responsive and trauma-informed care within behavioral health and justice systems
