Overview

Army Training Models Analyst
Location: Pentagon, DC
Salary Range $90,000 to $100,000 per year

Job Summary
The Analyst provides on-site analytical support to the Headquarters, Department of the Army (HQDA) G-3/5/7 Training Directorate (DAMO-TR) in support of the Army Training Models (ATM) program. Assists in providing programmatic and analytical support for critical training programs including collective training, operational readiness, and institutional training within the Planning, Programming, Budgeting, and Execution (PPBE) framework.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities
• Data Analysis & Validation: Analyze and validate data inputs prior to loading into Army Training Models, including financial data (requirements and funding), force structure data (manning and equipment), training strategies, cost factors, and workload data.
• PPBE Support: Provide analytical support for Program Objective Memorandum (POM) and Program Budget Review (PBR) submissions, including budget program justification and analysis.
• Custom Analysis: Conduct custom analyses that satisfy analytical requirements
• which cannot be accomplished by users utilizing the Training Resource Model Information System (TRMIS).
• Staff Support: Perform staff support tasks similar to HQDA staff support including analysis of all inputs to the models and decision processes, as well as effective use of model outputs to develop training resource guidance and issues.
• Report Generation: Generate ATM reports to support stakeholder analysis required during Budget and Program

Development/Execution, including:

o Training strategy analysis
o Financial/logistical policy analysis
o Military force structure analysis
o OPTEMPO management and analysis
o Budget/Program justification and analysis
o Stakeholder Coordination: Interact with Army G-3/5/7, Army National Guard, Office of the Chief of Army Reserves, T2COM, Centers of Excellence, and other stakeholders via face-to-face meetings, VTC, teleconference, and email.
o Per Capita Rate Support: Support annual data calls to update Per Capita cost factors, review data for completeness and validity, and assist Government SMEs in researching significant variations from previous year data.
o Reconciliation Support: Facilitate reconciliation of program requirements and funded levels using Budget Obligation definitions from cPROBE.

Requirements

Experience
• Minimum 5 years of related analytical experience
• Experience working with large data files and maintaining quality control
• Working knowledge of training, force management, logistics and financial policies within the PPBE framework
• Experience with Army component (COMPO)-specific operations preferred
• Familiarity with Army Training Models applications (cTRM/BLTM/cITRM/cATRM/cMRM) or similar training applications and systems from across DoD is preferred.

Education
• Bachelor's degree preferred in Business or Finance , OR
• 10 years equivalent years of experience with working knowledge of Army Training

Security Clearance
• Active SECRET clearance-must be a US Citizen

Technical Skills
• Proficient user knowledge of MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Access)
• Ability to utilize unclassified and classified information systems.

Physical Requirements

Work may involve sitting or standing for extended periods of time. Position may require typing and reading from a computer screen. Must have sufficient mobility, including but not limited to bending, reaching, and kneeling to complete daily duties in a timely and efficient manner. May include lifting weigh up to thirty (30) pounds as necessary.
