Full Job Description
In the role of Transportation Business Group Quality Manager, we'll count on you to: • Assist in development and maintenance of Transportation Business Group and project-specific Quality Management Plans and works in close cooperation with the Program/Project Manager and discipline leads for monitoring and oversight of project quality activities • Monitor QM needs for project/program • Work with Program/Project Managers to assess and incorporate lessons learned and client feedback from project reviews and client meetings • Report production risk areas to the Program/Project Manager and Regional Quality Director • Provide internal and external project reporting on quality-related activities, issues and corrective actions • Verify adequacy of project quality activities • Establish project quality processes and monitor implementation and effectiveness of those processes • Monitor implementation of company standards and practices as appropriate • Effectively implement and use company, client or regulatory document management expectations • Manage quality schedule, and ensure coordination between design discipline reviews • Manage quality review and comment resolution process (schedule meetings with reviewers, negotiate mutually acceptable resolutions, escalate disputed issues, and track open comments to closure)Assist in identifying and documenting issues that may cause, or contribute to, deviations from planned/expected outcomes and develop corrective action plans to address issues • Oversee subconsultant quality activities and deliverable review; audit subconsultant quality activities as appropriate • Conduct project conformance reviews in accordance with company QMS • Train project/program staff on project QMP/PMP requirements • Verify that project teams have team members with right experience and capability • Lead QA/QC-related discussions during project team meetings • May be requested to develop and manage an independent QMS for JV or mega-project • Management of the quality efforts for a multi-disciplinary team with subconsultants contributing significantly to the overall design package • Management of a metric driven quality program with significant, formal client involvement and project auditing • Construction value generally in the range of $50M to $500M. Often within a DBB framework or in a singular alternative delivery framework. • Perform other duties as assigned #LI-JF1 Keywords: Transportation Business Group Quality Manager, quality management plans, QMS Preferred Qualifications • ASQ or equivalent certification as Quality Manager, and/or Quality Auditor (prefer both; allow for the ability to obtain requisite certification within one year of assignment) • P.E., RA, AIA or related certifications Qualifications Required Qualifications • Associate's degree in engineering or related field of study or equivalent work experience • A minimum of 15 years of engineering experience in the discipline to be supported • Aptitude and demonstrated hands-on experience with computer applications specific to the discipline to be supported • Extensive knowledge of industry standards specific to the discipline being supported • Proven ability to work in multi-disciplinary environments • Proficient with Microsoft Office • Excellent verbal and written communication skills • An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
