Essential Functions:
- To actively lead the team to ensure that team targets and objectives are met in all aspects of its business, while promoting and monitoring the process of continuous improvement.
- To provide, as practicably as possible, a safe and healthy working environment implementing improvement programs in order to eliminate any work-related injuries. Demonstrate 10 key safety leadership behaviors.
- To create and promote harmonious working relationships, improving the operation of the team and its relationship with both internal and external customers.
- To monitor and evaluate costs, quality and service, identifying areas for improvement programs to eliminate waste. This will normally be achieved using problem-solving techniques, the evaluation of team results compared to budget and objectives, and the ongoing monitoring of team's performance.
- To define priorities, in conjunction with team members, setting objectives and devising improvement plans in order that results meet or exceed expectations; together with the team and planning functions, ensure and guarantee the total satisfaction of all customers, both internal and external.
- To assist team members and members of other teams (possibly outside the group).
- To achieve effective and efficient use of resources.
- To assist the Group Leader, Group Developer, and team members in defining the training and development needs of all team members.
- To ensure, through a cascade method, that the communications operate effectively both within the team and where there is an impact elsewhere within the organization.
- To determine in conjunction with the Group Leader and Process Improver, any necessary investment within the team area, and prepares the justification for capital expenditures.
- To act as a link with suppliers (internal/external) to ensure that the team operates in an efficient and productive manner.

- All other duties as assigned
Scope/Dimensions:- Single site manufacturing location with 3 shift operation, supplying finished goods to Tier 1 Automotive OEM and Tier 2 customers.
- Actively participating in problem solving teams and other groups as necessary to achieve KPI goals.
- Relies on experience and understanding of glass and plastics processes and written customer requirements to determine proper actions.
- Demands and priorities need adjusted regularly to provide a high level of service under tight timelines to several "customers" internally or externally.

Qualifications Required:- Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
- 3+ years in a manufacturing supervisory position, preferably in an automotive industry manufacturing environment.
- Excellent leadership skills
- Excellent computer skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Qualifications Desired:- Six Sigma certification
- Previous experience in glass and tempering technology
