Area Field Production Coordinator

Area Field Production Coordinator (Matthews, MO)

As an Area Field Production Coordinator, you play a crucial role in setting up, operating, maintaining, and troubleshooting manufacturing production. You will operate machines or equipment, adjusting factors such as temperature, pressure, flow, and material reactions. Your responsibilities include manually controlling the unit or operating it via a control system, running up and shutting down production facilities, including product changeover activities, and cleaning and decontaminating equipment. You will maintain housekeeping of the workplace, drive forklifts, fill and take over tank wagons, conduct routine analytics, and take samples. Additionally, you will coordinate equipment maintenance and repairs with the technical team and document and communicate work results during shift handovers. As a member of the Regional Field Production Mission team, you will support and optimize field production processes, ensuring seamless execution of missions and enabling overall mission team efficiency. Your overarching objective is to enhance operational excellence, aligning with the company's production goals and customer expectations.

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Collaborate with Field Production Missions to plan and coordinate operational activities;
  • Support the timely and efficient execution of production plans, aligning with mission objectives;
  • Participate and help with end-of-season and pre-season competency evaluations and training;
  • Assist in all field activities including planting, pesticide applications, harvest, GPS mapping, field inspections, and rouging activities;
  • Optimize resource allocation for field production, including personnel, equipment, and materials;
  • Work closely with the team to identify resource needs and facilitate procurement;
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives to address operational challenges;
  • Execute plans around production to meet export needs and toll agreements with attention to certification and phytosanitary inspections;
  • Champion quality control measures in field production, ensuring adherence to quality standards;
  • Collaborate with relevant teams to address and resolve any quality-related issues;
  • Analyze operational data to track performance and identify areas for improvement;
  • Prepare regular and year-end reports on key operational metrics to ensure data timeliness and integrity;
  • Work closely with Field Production Agronomists to align production strategies with agronomic goals;
  • Collaborate with Compliance Business Partners to ensure operational compliance with safety and regulatory standards;
  • Support end-to-end financial processes related to field production, including grower accounting, accounts payable, and invoice processing.


WHO YOU ARE:

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

Required Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent;
  • Valid Driver's License (To be eligible to drive a company car, your driving record must meet guidelines based on the company's Risk Screening for Hiring Drivers - MVR will be reviewed as part of pre-employment screening;)
  • Ability to work during days, weekends, and overtime as business needs require;
  • Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. (a bag of seed);
  • 25% travel expected during peak season.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in agriculture, Business, Operations Management, or a minimum of 3 years of applicable experience;
  • Proven experience in agricultural operations, production planning, or related roles;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities;
  • Effective communication and collaboration skills;
  • Adaptable and able to thrive in a dynamic and varied operational environment;
  • Detail-oriented with a focus on quality and efficiency;

Posting is available until June 14, 2026.

Employees can expect to be paid a salary between $67,280.00 - $100,920.00. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Other benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc. If selected for this role, the offer may vary based on market data/ranges, an applicant's skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
