Full Job Description
This position offers a base salary range of $78,807 - $131,346 per year, depending on experience and qualifications, plus bonus based on company performance.

OVERVIEW

Plan, supervise, and perform work associated with building architectural/engineering initiatives and projects on time and at a high-quality level. Responsible for managing internal architectural team and consultants working on assigned projects. Prepare drawings and manages efforts related to new store prototypes, facility improvements, store life cycle management, remodels, refreshes and rebuilds.

RESPONSIBILITIES (other duties may be assigned)

1. Coordinate and ensure successful completion of store development and design process from LOI to construction, including cross-discipline project efforts with mechanical, electrical, plumbing, structural, civil, and architectural consultants as well as internal stakeholders. Prepare CAD drawings for new store prototypes, improvement rollouts, rebuilds, remodels, refreshes, "go-backs", and others as required.
2. Complete review of building plans for thoroughness, consistency, accuracy, and adherence to design standards. Identify errors/omissions, complete CAD drawing revisions/updates and/or coordinate changes with the design team.
3. Maximize the development of internal talent through measurable performance coaching on a regular basis, incorporating performance reviews and presenting measurable developmental opportunities.
4. Prepare and issue Requests for Proposals to potential consultants, negotiate agreements, create exhibits, execute contracts, and review invoices
5. Ensure building design and due diligence is complete prior to construction kickoff. Support Brand Design team in preliminary ideation and schematic planning.
6. Prepare and manage addendums, RFI's, and field Orders; Coordinate and support Construction and Installation during bidding and construction phases.
7. Actively balance priorities, in a fast-paced environment, while maintaining and meeting project objectives, scope, timelines and deliverables.
8. Coordinate with internal personnel and external consultants as required to ensure store drawings meet branding and operational requirements, marketing/sales changes, Authorities Having Jurisdiction and code requirements and current building standards.
9. Prepare and coordinate conceptual and design development, site design, architecture, and interior design concept plans to be used by Real Estate, Engineering and Permitting departments for obtaining zoning, land development permits, and approvals.
10. Remain up to date on Sheetz Brand, architecture, site, signage, and fuel design standards.
11. Review comments from plan examiners, coordinate responses with structural, mechanical, electrical and plumbing engineering consultants, revise CAD drawings as needed to obtain building permits and approvals.
12. Conduct construction administration walk-throughs, installation observations, and field quality control. Complete conformance reviews with respect to brand standards and permitted construction documentation.

QUALIFICATIONS

Education
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture from a National Architectural Accrediting Board (NAAB) accredited program or a related design field required.

Experience
• Minimum 5 years' experience in an Architecture and/or Engineering setting as a Job Captain, Project Lead, or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years' construction administration experience required.
• Minimum 3 years' supervisory experience required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience creating and maintaining accurate building plans & architectural drawings required.
• Minimum 3 years' experience with building codes, materials, and systems in commercial construction required.
