Key Responsibilities
Architecture Strategy & Governance
Define and maintain Client's multi-year enterprise architecture roadmap across linear satellite broadcast, IP video delivery and hybrid cloud infrastructure.
Establish enterprise architecture principles, reference models, and governance frameworks using frameworks like TOGAF and TM Forum/eTOM adapted for media platforms.
Ensure strict compliance with content security mandates (DRM, digital watermarking), FCC regulations, data privacy (CCPA), and broadcast security standards.

Technology & Solution Design
Lead the architecture for high-scale digital media ecosystems, including linear signal acquisition, cloud encoding/transcoding, Cloud DVR systems, dynamic ad insertion (DAI), and content delivery networks (CDNs).
Architect resilient hybrid solutions bridging legacy set-top box hardware/headends with cloud-native microservices on AWS, Azure, or GCP.
Evaluate and select emerging technologies in AI-driven encoding, edge computing, sports interactivity/multiview, and next-gen streaming protocols.

Business Alignment & Stakeholder Management
Lead technology vendor evaluations (RFPs), build-vs-buy decisions, and ecosystem strategic partnerships across CAS/DRM, middleware, and cloud video providers.

Performance & Optimization
Identify opportunities to optimize multi-CDN traffic routing, cloud infrastructure spend, and broadcast bandwidth usage.
Define KPIs to measure architectural health, system availability (99.999% uptime targets), stream startup times (QoE), and technology ROI.

Qualifications & Requirements
Experience: 10+ years in media, entertainment, or telecommunications engineering, with at least 4+ years in a dedicated Enterprise Architect or Principal System Architect role.
Deep understanding of video processing pipelines: linear ingestion, HEVC/AV1 encoding, DASH/HLS streaming, Cloud DVR, and server-side ad insertion (SSAI).
Experience with hybrid satellite (DTH) and IP video architectures, set-top box/streaming device OS ecosystems (Android TV, RDK, AppleTV, FireTV).
Cloud & Enterprise Tech: Hands-on architecture experience in AWS, GCP, or Azure using Kubernetes, microservices, Kafka/event-driven architectures, and API gateways.
TOGAF, AWS/GCP Solutions Architect, or equivalent enterprise architecture certification.
Familiarity with media and communications standards (SCTE-35, SMPTE, TM Forum).
