JOB DESCRIPTION

Duties: Engage with technical teams and business stakeholders to discuss and propose technical and systems approaches to meet current and future needs. Define the technical target state of their product and drives achievement of the strategy. Participate in architecture governance bodies. Evaluate recommendations and provide feedback on new technologies. Design and implement innovative software solutions for perimeter security engineering, middleware platforms, and digital channel systems. Perform advanced development and technical troubleshooting using non-conventional approaches to solve complex problems and deliver robust, scalable solutions. Develop secure and high-quality production application, review and debug applications written by others. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems. Evaluate sessions with external vendors, startups, and internal teams to drive outcomes-oriented probing of architectural designs, technical credentials, and applicability for use within existing systems and information. Provide key SME leadership for specific authorization and bot protection solutions. Deliver system designs for specific security-related requirements, and proposing their corresponding testing, and operational stability recommendations. Propose database architectures, including design, querying, and optimization, as part of target state and specific solution designs. Work closely with Product architects and application teams to develop resilient architectures, design patterns and solutions. Keep abreast with the latest security trends, technologies, and best practices to continuously improve access control systems. Share knowledge and expertise on high- and low-level design, connectivity, data flow of supported products with team members through training sessions, brown bag sessions, and documentation. Provide leadership on resiliency and partner with application teams to guide the development of real-life FMEA scenarios and appropriate resiliency solutions where gaps exist. Identify opportunities for optimization and implement strategies to improve resiliency. Mentor junior engineers and provide guidance on best practices.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Minimum education and experience required: Master's degree in Data Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study plus five (5) years of experience in the job offered or as Architect, Computer Systems Engineer, IT Consultant or related occupation. The employer will alternatively accept a Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Electronic Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or related field of study plus seven (7) years of experience in the job offered or as Architect, Computer Systems Engineer, IT Consultant or related occupation.

Skills Required: This position requires experience with the following: Configure and manage network protocols, firewalls, VPNs, and related networking components; Implementing cybersecurity controls, including threat detection, analysis, and mitigation strategies; Deploying, configuring, and administering F5 Shape, Ping Identity, and ForgeRock Identity Gateway (IG) solutions; Designing and implementing AWS network architectures including VPC, Transit Gateway, Route Tables, Route 53, Interface Endpoints, Network Load Balancers (NLB), Application Load Balancers (ALB), and NAT Gateways; Deploying and managing AWS services including EKS, ECS Fargate, Aurora PostgreSQL, DynamoDB, Amazon MSK, ElastiCache Redis, and API Gateway; Establishing and maintaining Cloud-to-Ground, Ground- to-Cloud, and Cloud-to-Cloud connectivity; Developing and managing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform and related automation tools; Diagnosing and resolving complex infrastructure issues across cloud and on-premises environments; Automating and integrating tasks in scripting language including Python, Bash, and PowerShell; working with serverless architectures including Lambda and Functions; and conducting API design and management.
