Architect - Enterprise Application - SAP S
Job Description• Designing and creating SAP architecture blueprints; Leading SAP implementation projects and ensuring successful delivery; Evaluating existing SAP systems and proposing enhancements for performance and scalability; Collaborating with cross-functional teams to align SAP solutions with business requirements; Providing technical expertise and guidance on SAP best practices; Developing and implementing SAP governance and security policies; Conducting system analysis and performance tuning to optimize SAP solutions; Staying current with emerging technologies and trends in the SAP ecosystem.
Key Responsibilities:- Own the end-to-end enterprise and solution architecture for SAP rollout programs across business functions, applications, integrations, data, security, and infrastructure.
- Define the target architecture covering SAP S/4HANA, Salesforce, middleware/integration platforms, SaaS applications, legacy systems, and external platforms.
- Lead architecture for S/4HANA Greenfield implementations, Brownfield/system conversions, and global rollout programs.
- Design and govern SAP-Salesforce integration, including business process orchestration, master/transactional data flows, APIs, events, interfaces, and exception handling.
- Define integration architecture using platforms such as SAP Integration Suite/CPI, MuleSoft, Boomi, PI/PO, API Management, event-driven integration, REST/OData APIs, IDocs and other middleware technologies.
- Work closely with business, functional, technical, security, data and infrastructure teams to ensure architecture supports end-to-end business processes.
- Assess existing application landscapes and identify opportunities for simplification, consolidation, standardization and decommissioning.
- Drive architecture decisions around Clean Core, extensibility, side-by-side extensions, BTP, APIs alnd integration patterns.
- Define principles for master data, data migration, data ownership and system-of-record responsibilities across SAP, SFDC and connected applications.
- Review solution designs and ensure alignment with enterprise architecture principles, security requirements, scalability, performance and supportability.
- Manage architectural dependencies and risks across SAP and non-SAP platforms.
- Establish architecture governance, design standards and review mechanisms throughout the program lifecycle.
- Support program leadership with technology roadmap, architecture strategy, implementation sequencing and major design decisions.
Required Skills:- Typically, Relevant years of enterprise application / SAP experience, including significant architecture responsibility.
- Strong experience as an Enterprise Architect, Solution Architect or SAP Transformation Architect on large-scale programs.
- Proven experience with SAP S/4HANA Greenfield and Brownfield implementations.
- Experience with at least one major global SAP rollout or multi-country deployment.
- Strong understanding of end-to-end SAP business processes across areas such as Finance, Order-to-Cash, Source-to-Pay, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Master Data.
- Strong experience integrating SAP with Salesforce (SFDC) and other enterprise applications.
- Good knowledge of SAP Integration Suite/BTP, API-led integration, middleware and enterprise integration patterns.
- Understanding of SAP architecture including S/4HANA, Fiori, BTP, integration, security, data and extensibility.
- Ability to evaluate both SAP and non-SAP solutions from business, functional and technical perspectives.
- Strong experience working with senior business stakeholders, program leadership, vendors and implementation partners.
Preferred Skills:- A techno-functional architect who can understand business processes at an enterprise level while also going deep enough into SAP, SFDC, integrations, APIs, data flows and technical architecture to challenge and guide individual solution teams.
- The candidate should be capable of looking beyond individual SAP modules and owning the complete business and technology architecture from source systems through SAP/SFDC and downstream critical platforms.
