Role Description

We are seeking a highly experienced Lead Software Engineer specializing in API Development to lead the design, development, and delivery of scalable, secure, and high-performance backend services for enterprise applications. The role focuses on building reliable, resilient, and distributed systems that support critical business operations. The successful candidate will provide technical leadership, drive architectural decisions, mentor engineering teams, and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver robust solutions aligned with business objectives.

Job Responsibilities

Lead the design, development, and implementation of enterprise-grade backend services and APIs

Define and enforce engineering best practices for application design, coding standards, performance optimization, security, and scalability

Collaborate with architects, product owners, business stakeholders, QA teams, and DevOps engineers to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Design and develop highly available, resilient, and distributed backend systems

Conduct code reviews, provide technical guidance, and mentor development teams

Troubleshoot complex production issues and drive root cause analysis and resolution

Develop and integrate backend solutions with databases, messaging systems, and cloud platforms

Participate in architecture discussions, technology evaluations, and continuous improvement initiatives

Ensure application quality through automated testing, CI/CD practices, and engineering standards

Maintain technical documentation for architecture, design, development, deployment, and operational support
