Full Job Description
In this role, you will contribute to the development and delivery of critical software projects while building scalable, high-quality solutions under the guidance of senior engineers.

The Applications Development Senior Programmer Analyst is an intermediate level position responsible for participation in the establishment and implementation of new or revised application systems and programs in coordination with the Technology team. The overall objective of this role is to contribute to applications systems analysis and programming activities.

Responsibilities

Software Development & Execution
  • Contribute to the design, development, testing, and deployment of software solutions.
  • Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code following best practices.
  • Work closely with senior developers and architects to understand system design and implementation.
  • Assist in troubleshooting, debugging, and resolving technical issues.
  • Learn and apply secure coding and performance optimization techniques.


Collaboration & Teamwork
  • Collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to understand requirements.
  • Participate in team discussions, code reviews, and agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives).
  • Communicate progress clearly and ask for guidance when needed.


Learning & Growth
  • Continuously improve technical skills and contribute to team knowledge sharing.
  • Stay updated on modern development tools, technologies, and practices.
  • Take initiative in learning new frameworks, libraries, and tools used by the team.

Qualifications

Experience
  • 5-8 years of experience in software development (internships or academic projects acceptable)
  • Good understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC)
  • Exposure to agile methodologies


Technical Skills
  • Basic proficiency in Java or another object-oriented programming language
  • Familiarity with databases (e.g., Oracle or similar relational databases)
  • Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git, Bitbucket)
  • Exposure to cloud platforms
  • knowledge of DevOps concepts and tools
  • Familiarity with tools like Jira or similar tracking systems
