Key Job ResponsibilitiesJob SummaryJoin a collaborative technology team dedicated to supporting and advancing mission-critical public safety systems. The Applications and Innovation Analyst serves as a technical leader responsible for administering, supporting, integrating, and continuously improving enterprise applications and operational technologies.
This position supports systems such as Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD), Records Management Systems (RMS), telephony and call handling platforms, public safety databases, reporting and analytics solutions, and associated integrations. The role also champions modernization initiatives, automation, analytics, AI-assisted technologies, and operational improvements that enhance agency effectiveness and service delivery.
This position participates in an after-hours on-call rotation supporting mission-critical systems and emergency operational needs. This is an FLSA-exempt, non-supervisory position requiring substantial independent judgment, technical expertise, and leadership.
Key Responsibilities• Administer, configure, maintain, and optimize mission-critical public safety and business applications.
• Lead and support technology modernization and innovation initiatives.
• Design and maintain system integrations, workflows, and automation solutions.
• Support reporting, dashboards, analytics, and business intelligence efforts.
• Evaluate emerging technologies and AI-assisted capabilities.
• Coordinate upgrades, testing, deployments, and vendor-supported projects.
• Ensure system security, reliability, availability, and regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with partner agencies, vendors, and internal stakeholders.
• Participate in after-hours support and emergency response activities when needed.
What we offer: Snohomish County 911 offers an attractive compensation and benefits package that includes:
- Generous paid time-off starting with 192 hours of PTO (accrued per year and pro-rated the first year).
- Holidays - 11 recognized holidays per year, two (2) floating holidays, with an additional longevity holiday for employees who reach ten (10) years longevity or more
- Pay: $118,319 - $158,559 (Starting pay generally between $118,319 - $136,969. Depending on experience).

- Deferred Compensation - Employees will receive a 3.5% contribution and a contribution match of up to 2.9% to their choice of one of four plans: 457 and 403b plans available, including a ROTH plan option.
- Employees may contribute the maximum allowed by law under each of the plans (one 457 and one 403b)

- Associate degree or higher in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Technology, or a related field; or equivalent experience.
- Five (5) years of progressively responsible experience supporting enterprise applications, public safety systems, operational technology platforms, or related environments.
- Experience with CAD, RMS, telephony systems, application integrations, reporting platforms, automation technologies, analytics solutions, or public safety operational systems.
Preferred Qualifications- Experience with workflow automation, analytics platforms, reporting systems, or AI-assisted operational tools.
- Experience supporting mission-critical technology environments.
- Relevant certifications in, project management, public safety applications, database technologies, analytics platforms, or related disciplines.
