Your Opportunity

As an Application Support Engineer supporting the Move Money domain, you will play a critical role in maintaining the stability, availability, and resiliency of complex non-production environments that enable software development, testing, performance validation, and business readiness activities. Your work directly impacts the speed, quality, and reliability of technology delivery by ensuring development and testing teams have dependable environments available when they need them.

In this role, you will partner closely with software engineering, quality assurance, infrastructure, database, DevOps, and release management teams to identify and resolve technical issues, coordinate environment activities, and proactively remove obstacles that could impact project timelines. You will leverage analytical thinking, problem solving, automation, observability tools, and AI-enabled capabilities to monitor application health, investigate incidents, identify patterns, and improve operational efficiency across distributed and mainframe technologies.

Success in this position requires the ability to navigate complex technical environments, make informed decisions under changing priorities, and collaborate effectively across teams. You will contribute to continuous improvement efforts by enhancing environment reliability, strengthening operational processes, improving deployment readiness, and helping teams deliver high-quality solutions that support critical money movement capabilities across the firm.

What you have

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 7+ years of experience supporting enterprise applications, application support functions, platform support, environment support, or environment management activities.
  • 5+ years of experience supporting distributed applications utilizing Java, .NET, REST APIs, web services, microservices, and middleware technologies.
  • 3+ years of experience supporting mainframe technologies, including COBOL applications, JCL, batch processing, datasets, file transfers, and service integrations.
  • Demonstrated experience troubleshooting application, middleware, database, API, integration, infrastructure, and batch-processing issues across multiple technology platforms.
  • Experience supporting non-production environments including Development, System Integration Testing, Quality Assurance, User Acceptance Testing, Performance Testing, and Pre-Production environments.
  • Working knowledge of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC), testing practices, deployment processes, and release management methodologies.
  • Experience supporting incident, problem, change, and service management processes within large enterprise environments.
  • Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving, and root cause analysis skills with the ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues efficiently.
  • Experience using application monitoring, log analysis, alerting, and operational support tools to improve reliability and availability.
  • Demonstrated ability to build collaborative relationships and communicate effectively across technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Exposure to automation, scripting, observability platforms, or AI-enabled operational tools.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting financial services, banking, payments, or money movement applications.
  • Experience with observability and monitoring platforms such as Dynatrace, Splunk, AppDynamics, Grafana, ELK, or similar technologies.
  • Experience leveraging AI-enabled capabilities for incident investigation, anomaly detection, predictive analytics, intelligent alerting, or automated troubleshooting.
  • Experience with automation and scripting technologies such as Python, PowerShell, Shell Scripting, or similar tools.
  • Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines, deployment automation, DevOps practices, and release management processes.
  • Experience using ServiceNow, Jira, Confluence, or similar workflow and service management platforms.
  • Exposure to cloud-based, containerized, or hybrid application environments.
  • Demonstrated adaptability while supporting multiple priorities, stakeholders, and technology platforms in a fast-paced environment.
