Posting Summary Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking an Application Programmer for the Office of Information Technology. This position will report to the Associate Director of EAS-MaCS within OIT.
Among the key duties of this position are the following:
- Assists in the administration of various MaCS (Messaging and Collaboration Services) cloud services (possibly including O365, Google Suite, Box, Slack and others), often via an administrative console, administrative tools provided by the cloud vendor, and/or Powershell or other commands/scripting languages.
- Acts as a liaison between OIT technical staff, help desk and Rutgers departmental IT staff in an effort to assure proper delivery of MaCS services and provide correct resolution of issues/questions.
- Develops application and tools to integrate with these cloud services and even with some of the on-premises systems supported by MaCS. This process includes programming, testing, documentation, communication, design, analysis and support. These applications and tools often integrate with cloud services using vendor APIs.
- Works under the direct supervision and guidance of other higher-level technical staff and management.

- Familiarity with basic conceptual understanding of how to use and integrate with APIs.
- Experience with cloud vendor service APIs like Microsoft Graph API, AWS, G Suite Admin SDK.
