Application Development Engineer - Professional Hygiene

As an Application Development Engineer - Professional Hygiene, you will play a critical role in supporting the successful deployment of Arxada technologies across industrial water, municipal wastewater, and food & beverage applications. Working closely with experienced technical colleagues, you will provide hands-on field and engineering support for pilot trials, full-scale trials, and commercial installations.

You will be part of a highly collaborative, cross-functional team spanning Marketing, Sales, R&D, and Regulatory, contributing to growth strategy projects and helping translate innovative chemistry into real-world customer solutions. This role offers a unique opportunity to build deep application expertise in hydrogen peroxide, peracetic acid (PAA), and peroxygen systems, while making a tangible impact on customer adoption and business growth.

Essential Job Functions
  • Support the planning, installation, start-up, operation, and troubleshooting of feed and handling systems (e.g., pumps, storage, and measurement devices) under guidance of senior technical staff.
  • Provide hands-on field technical and engineering support for pilot trials, full-scale trials, and commercial installations across Professional Hygiene applications.
  • Assist with basic system design input, equipment selection, fabrication coordination, and safe implementation of customer solutions.
  • Coordinate trial execution with OEMs and internal stakeholders to ensure site-specific operational requirements and constraints are met.
  • Install, operate, and maintain field trial equipment, including routine inspections, minor repairs, data collection, and escalation of technical issues when required.
  • Support testing, demonstrations, and performance evaluations of feed systems, documenting operating conditions, results, and key learnings.
  • Independently design and conduct experiments to develop new ideas, concepts, formulations, or expanded application uses aligned with market needs.
  • Partner with Business Development, Sales, and Marketing to deliver technical insights that accelerate customer adoption and growth.

  • Hands-on aptitude with mechanical systems such as pumps, tanks, piping, and measurement devices.
  • Strong problem-solving mindset with the ability to work safely in field-based and customer-facing environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across technical and commercial teams.
  • Willingness to travel to customer sites as required to support trials and installations.

The expected salary range for this role is 75-95K anually but specific employee compensation may vary depending on factors including experience, education, training, licensure, certification, location and other job-related, non-discriminatory factors permitted by law.
This role is also eligible to earn a short-term incentive bonus and the following benefits: 401(k) plan, medical, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance, paid time off, paid holidays and paid sick leave.
