The Opportunity:
- Build mission-critical GEOINT applications on a fast-paced Agile team supporting the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency (NGA).
- Develop modern web-based software that enables intelligence analysis and mission execution.
- Work across the full stack — from user-facing features to data services — in a cloud-native environment.
- Sharpen your skills alongside senior developers, architects, and mission stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, test, and maintain web application features using Java and/or Python.
- Implement and consume RESTful APIs and service integrations.
- Develop and enhance GIS-enabled application capabilities and services.
- Work with relational and non-relational databases to manage structured and unstructured data.
- Participate in code reviews, unit testing, debugging, and integration activities.
- Apply secure coding practices throughout the development lifecycle.
- Deliver within sprint cycles as part of a cross-functional Agile team.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related technical discipline (equivalent experience accepted).
- 4+ years of professional software development experience.
- Proficiency developing in Java, Python, or both.
- Experience with modern web application frameworks and development practices.
- Working knowledge of relational databases and data modeling.
- Familiarity with Git-based workflows and Agile development practices.
- Security Clearance (TS/SCI) with willingness to undergo polygraph examination.
Desired:
- Experience with GIS technologies (ArcGIS, GeoServer, OpenLayers, Cesium, or similar).
- Familiarity with containerization, cloud, orDevSecOps tooling.
- Experience operating within SAFe or Agile delivery frameworks.

$63,300-$129,700
