Application and Validation Engineer (General Sensors)
Location Northville, USA

YOUR TASKS

FORVIA - HELLA is seeking its next great Application and ValidationEngineer (General Sensors). The primaryfunction of this role is to support application validation for key electronics sensors. This individual willbe joining a well established group that is focused on supporting our internalassociates.

Daily Responsibilities
  • Serve as the on site technical expert for application related topics
  • Analyze customer test requirements and internal test specifications
  • Coordinate with global testing team all activities to ensure alignment and standardization of test methods
  • Execute vehicle level testing in Rain Chamber as well as Road Tests. Document evaluation results in official reports with the global engineering team.
  • Create evaluation reports and present to internal and external stakeholders
  • Maintain rain chamber equipment maintenance schedule

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Mechatronics, or related field.
  • Self starter, ability to work with little to no daily supervision.
  • 1+ years of experience conducting sensor application work: Familiarity with LIN CAN and Vector tools a plus
  • Ability to support vehicle level testing in chamber as well as road test drives to collect data. Certain tests may require night driving occasionally
  • Valid driver's license with no active restrictions
  • Good communication skills (verbal and written) are a must
