Job DescriptionAs an Application Administrator II, you will be a key contributor to our shared data platform, Datastore (DS), a SQL Server Database. Your primary responsibility is to research and resolve Production issues including making code changes and working with application and technical support when needed. Your expertise will be instrumental in troubleshooting issues, validating data transformations, and guaranteeing seamless access to DS data through standardized APIs.
Responsibilities- Resolve complex Production issues
- Escalation point forService Desk
- MonitorService Desk calls frequently and respond to users quickly
- Assume primary responsibility for the Production environment of one or more applications.
- Document procedures for resolving issues
- Train Service Desk staff to resolve routine issues
- Recommend and install system changes to prevent/avoid routine issues
- Monitor and/or run key off-hours processes
- Maintain system security (user accounts, responsibilities, passwords, etc.)
- Document the Production processing schedule
- Independently undertakes routine preventative measures.
- Participates in the long and short term planning and implementing future IT developments and undertakes routine project work.
- Monitor and troubleshoot ETLProcesses.
- Perform testing as needed
- Perform routine application maintenance as tasked
- Perform routine portal administration tasks
- Administer Schedule Jobs.
- Maintains a high and increasing level of proficiency in software and other technologies supported by the IT Department
- Follow safety rules, guidelines and standards for all projects. Participate in pre-task planning. Report any safety issues or concerns to management.
- Be responsible for maintaining quality standards on all projects.
- May perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Minimum 6 years' related experience in application programming, design, testing
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.
- A valid driver's license with acceptable violation history may be required.
Possess skills in three or more of the following:
- Relational databases (SQL Server preferred)
- API-based data access (REST, gRPC, GraphQL)
- Python
- Java
- API testing tools (Postman, SoapUI, Insomnia, etc.)
- Test automation concepts
- Microsoft ASP.NET
- Microsoft SharePoint
- Microsoft Visual Studio and Team Foundation Server
- Microsoft VB.NET
- Valid driver's license with acceptable violation history
