Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Appian Lead Product Engineer with expertise in Appian architecture, platform management, solution design, cloud migrations, and enterprise integrations. This role will be responsible for driving Appian platform strategy, governance, performance optimization, modernization initiatives, and ensuring the stability, scalability, and security of enterprise Appian environments. The ideal candidate will provide technical leadership while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver robust and scalable business solutions.

Key Responsibilities
• Own and manage the Appian platform, ensuring stability, scalability, availability, and performance.
• Define and enforce Appian architecture standards, best practices, and governance frameworks.
• Lead Appian platform upgrades, environment management, maintenance, and performance optimization initiatives.
• Review and validate solution designs to ensure alignment with architecture standards, security requirements, and business objectives.
• Support cloud migration initiatives, platform modernization efforts, automation strategies, and CI/CD implementation.
• Troubleshoot complex platform issues and lead root cause analysis and resolution efforts.
• Collaborate with business, infrastructure, security, and delivery teams to ensure successful platform adoption and solution delivery.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance platform reliability, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Support integration architecture and implementation across enterprise systems and applications.
• Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to development and engineering teams.

Required Qualifications
• 8+ years of experience working with Appian, including architecture, solution design, and platform management.
• Strong expertise in Appian Records, Data Fabric/CDTs, SAIL, Process Models, Integrations, Plug-ins, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
• Experience managing both Appian Cloud and self-managed/on-premises Appian environments.
• Knowledge of Appian AI capabilities, platform upgrades, and performance optimization best practices.
• Experience leading Appian migration initiatives, including on-premises to SaaS or cloud-based deployments.
• Strong integration experience using REST, SOAP, JDBC, and messaging frameworks.
• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, and security technologies including SSO, SAML, OIDC, RBAC, and IAM.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.
• Experience supporting enterprise-scale Appian implementations and platform operations.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience leading enterprise Appian architecture and solution design initiatives.
• Strong leadership, mentoring, and team development skills.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing frameworks, and DevOps practices.
• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, ELK, AppDynamics, or similar platforms.
• Experience working in financial services or other highly regulated industries.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications
• Appian Lead Developer Certification preferred.
