Job Summary The Azure Support and DevOps Specialist is responsible for ensuring the stability, resilience, and performance of critical settlement flows hosted across on-premises and cloud platforms. This role combines production support with project-based tasks to improve system reliability, observability, and scalability. The specialist will collaborate with development and infrastructure teams to implement automated solutions, enhance monitoring capabilities, and drive operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities - E nsure stability and resilience of critical settlement systems across on-premises and Azure cloud platforms.
- Provide Level 3 production management support for Java-based applications.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve complex technical and business challenges across software, infrastructure, and databases.
- Act as a liaison between support and development teams to streamline problem resolution.
- Manage critical incidents and communicate effectively with stakeholders.
- Collaborate with developers and infrastructure engineers to improve performance, observability, and reliability.
- Implement observability and telemetry systems to support applications and APIs.
- Use automation to enhance system uptime and mitigate risks.
- Contribute to improving codebases and reliability solutions in a growing area of the fi rm.
Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
- 5+ years of IT industry experience, including at least 2 years in Level 3 production management.
- Experience supporting applications deployed on Azure Cloud.
- Expertise in observability and reliability tools in cloud-native environments.
- Strong skills in analyzing, debugging, and troubleshooting distributed applications.
- Experience working with Python and Java codebases.
- Excellent cross-team communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications (if any) - Experience with Terraform or GitHub.
- Familiarity with Azure Kubernetes, Azure Spring Apps, Azure Web Apps, AzureSQL, Kafka, and Azure ServiceBus.
- Experience instrumenting application services for logging, metrics, and events using Azure Monitor, Datadog, Prometheus, or Grafana.
- Knowledge of observability design principles.
- Eagerness to share ideas and openness to colla boration.
Certifications (if any) - None required; cloud or DevOps-related certifications (e.g., Azure, Kubernetes, DevOps) are preferred.
