UW Medical Centers have an exciting opportunity for an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our Neonatal Intensive Care team. The APP will provide exceptional, evidence-based advanced practice medical care to high-risk and well newborns and their families.

EDUCATION & LEADERSHIP
  • Support and educate residents
  • Train and onboard new Advanced Practice Providers in neonatal care
  • Collaborate with nursing leadership
  • Promote professional development of Neonatal APPs
  • Support recruitment and retention initiatives for Neonatal APPs


RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Provide comprehensive neonatal care under the direct supervision of the attending neonatologist
  • Function independently within scope of practice
  • Ensure continuity of care for neonatal patients and families
  • Bill for services rendered, as appropriate to role


SCHEDULE
  • 90%
  • Variable days and night


REQUIREMENTS
  • Current, valid Washington State license as Advanced Registered Nurse Practitioner (ARNP) or Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C)
  • Current Washington State Prescriptive Authority License
  • ARNP: Current NCC certification as a Neonatal Nurse Practitioner
  • PA: National board certification (ANA or NAPNAP)
  • Current Neonatal Resuscitation certification
  • Master's degree from an accredited program
  • Three or more years of experience as an NNP or PA in a Level III NICU
  • Active Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) registration


Compensation, Benefits and Position Details

Pay Range Minimum:
$138,720.00 annual
Pay Range Maximum:
$210,684.00 annual
Other Compensation:
Night shift differential $4.50/hr.Evening shift differential $2.50/hr.Weekend shift differential $4.00/hr.Relocation availableOvertime eligible
