Full Job Description
The Annuitization Product Capability Owner will be responsible for supporting the management of the end-to-end suite of services and products that comprise TIAA's Annuitization platform and Lifetime Income offers. Under limited supervision, the role combines product capability ownership with data analysis to define and support the building of desirable, feasible, viable, and sustainable business solutions, adoption strategy, and roadmap that meet internal and external customer needs.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
  • Collaborates with Enterprise-wide Business Owners and partner teams including Advice, Marketing, Legal, Risk, Compliance, Client Experience, Product Management, and Technology to deliver product solutions on the Annuitization platform.
  • Supports roadmap development and delivery by ensuring alignment with Enterprise strategy and strategic initiative prioritization and manages progress toward planned outcomes.
  • Partners with Product Management and Regulatory teams contribute to impact assessments and solution design on new or enhanced product initiatives and regulatory changes.
  • Prepares executive-facing materials including PowerPoint presentations, business reviews, and strategic summaries to communicate platform priorities, progress, and recommendations to senior leadership.
  • Conducts research and discovery on stakeholder process improvement opportunities, Voice of Customer feedback, and complaint and remediation trends to develop insights that inform solution strategy.
  • Performs data analysis using SQL, Snowflake, and Tableau to support product decisions, monitor platform performance, and surface trends that drive strategic and operational insights.
  • Develops and maintains Tableau dashboards and reports that provide ongoing visibility into key platforms and business metrics for stakeholders across the organization.
  • Ensures product completeness including mitigation of risk through controls design and implementation, Enterprise-wide stakeholder review and acceptance, adoption readiness, and delivery of business value.
  • Defines and prioritizes Epics and capabilities; aligns the product solution roadmap with the Enterprise portfolio roadmap; and manages requirements through collaboration with Solution Architects, resulting in internal and external product delivery.
  • Acts as a subject matter expert on Annuitization platform capabilities and end-to-end processes, supporting partners across the organization with clarity on how solutions work and how changes create downstream impact.

  • Demonstrated ability to write and troubleshoot SQL queries to extract and analyze data from large datasets
  • Experience working with Snowflake or a comparable cloud-based data platform
  • Experience with Tableau or a comparable data visualization tool for dashboard development and reporting
  • PowerPoint and storytelling skills with a demonstrated ability to prepare clear, polished materials for executive audiences
  • Ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously in a matrixed organization with cross-functional stakeholders


Preferred Skills:
  • Experience with annuities, lifetime income products, or insurance-based financial solutions
  • Familiarity with Agile delivery frameworks and experience contributing to Epic and capability definition
  • Experience conducting Voice of Customer analysis or leveraging complaints and remediation data to inform product strategy
  • Demonstrated ability to perform root cause analysis and develop data-driven recommendations
  • Experience partnering with Legal, Risk, or Compliance teams on product or regulatory initiatives
  • Working knowledge of data governance principles and data quality best practices
  • Exposure to enterprise portfolio management tools and roadmap planning processes

Base Pay Range: $85,000/yr - $119,000/yr

Actual base salary may vary based upon, but not limited to, relevant experience, time in role, base salary of internal peers, prior performance, business sector, and geographic location. In addition to base salary, the competitive compensation package may include, depending on the role, participation in an incentive program linked to performance (for example, annual discretionary incentive programs, non-annual sales incentive plans, or other non-annual incentive plans).
