Full Job Description
Under general supervision of Division of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DLAM) management, the Animal care Supervisor 1 performs supervisory duties of animal care staff members who perform operational/husbandry duties, facility services/inspections, as well as high-level tasks related to animal health care, the enrichment program, investigator training and services, and/or Biosecurity. The Supervisor prioritizes and completes ongoing tasks following established departmental guidelines, University policies, and federal, state, & local regulations. Develops Standard Operations Procedures (SOPs), Work Instructions (WI) and forms for the functional area; develops, delivers and verifies employee training and assigns workloads; maintains supplies, feed and bedding in stock; monitors room environmental conditions and any other task to assure animal welfare and adherence to the regulations that govern the use of these animals in research as well as personnel safety. Salary Range: $70,900.00 - $145,200.00 Annually
