Description:

The Department of Anesthesiology Perioperative and Pain Medicine, Alberta Health Services Calgary Zone, invites applications for the position of Anesthesiology Data, Science and Informatics Lead in Calgary.

In a competent and professional manner, the Contractor will:

Support the quality and safety of anesthesia care delivered in the Calgary Corridor by developing systems and programs that use clinical data to inform clinicians, teams, and leaders.

Collaborate with informatics teams, data scientists, and clinical leaders to develop a learning health system.

Support the development, validation, and interpretation of clinical indicators, dashboards, reports, and other data products.

Provide an annual report of activities and deliverables to the Corridor Clinical Department Lead of Anesthesiology.

Qualifications:

Applicants must be a qualified MD or equivalent, with specialist certification in anesthesiology, eligibility for licensure in the Province of Alberta for independent anesthesia care.

The successful Candidate will have their FRCPC in Anesthesia; have demonstrated the ability to work with a multi-disciplinary team; superior interpersonal communication skills; and a strong commitment to delivering innovative anesthetic care.

Desired competencies include Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support and Advanced Trauma Life Support.

The candidate must be eligible for Licensure with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Alberta, and must read, write and speak English.
