Job Summary
We are seeking a senior-level Android Developer to design and build e-commerce applications for the Android platform. The role is responsible for ensuring application performance, quality, and responsiveness while collaborating with the development team to define, design, and deliver new features. The developer will also identify and resolve application bottlenecks and defects, maintain code quality and organization, and provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
Key Responsibilities
• Design and build e-commerce applications for the Android platform.
• Ensure the performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.
• Collaborate with the development team to define, design, and deliver new features.
• Identify and resolve application bottlenecks and defects.
• Maintain code quality, organization, and automation.
• Lead and mentor junior developers.
• Integrate mobile applications with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Develop multi-threaded and networked mobile applications.
• Perform debugging and analysis using Android Debug Bridge (ADB).
• Support the application submission and provisioning process.
• Develop and maintain advanced Android user interfaces using fragments and custom view components.
• Work with web services and protocol buffers as they relate to mobile applications.
Required Qualifications
• 5+ years of experience in mobile application development.
• Proven experience designing and developing complete Android applications from end to end.
• Strong experience with Android application development using Kotlin.
• Expert knowledge of Java, JDK, and Android SDK.
• Advanced Android UI development experience, including fragments and custom view components.
• Experience developing multi-threaded and networked applications.
• Expert-level debugging and analysis skills using ADB.
• Experience with the application submission and provisioning process.
• Expert knowledge of IntelliJ or Android Studio.
• Experience with web services as they relate to mobile applications.
• Experience working with protocol buffers.
• Experience integrating GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Strong understanding of Android application development and mobile software engineering practices.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with Android Play Store.
• Experience working with GraphQL and REST APIs.
• Experience with OpenGL or the Android NDK.
• Experience developing high-performance graphics code.
