Job Summary

The Analytics Engagement Manager I supports data-driven decision-making across Public Partnerships LLC (PPL) by delivering analytical insights, developing reporting solutions, and partnering with business stakeholders to solve operational and strategic challenges. This role is ideal for an early-career analytics professional who demonstrates strong technical aptitude, business curiosity, and a desire to influence organizational outcomes through data. The Analytics Engagement Manager I will contribute to analytics engagements, support data modeling and reporting initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve program performance across PPL's business lines.

Key Responsibilities

Analytics Delivery & Project Execution
  • Support the execution of analytics initiatives under the guidance of senior analytics leaders.
  • Perform data analysis, reporting, and research to address defined business questions and operational challenges.
  • Assist in requirements gathering, project planning, and solution development for analytics engagements.
  • Manage assigned deliverables and timelines while proactively communicating risks, dependencies, and obstacles.
  • Contribute to the development of dashboards, reports, and analytical tools that support business decision-making.


Data Analysis & Technical Development
  • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries, datasets, and reporting solutions.
  • Utilize Python and related analytical tools to perform data manipulation, analysis, and automation activities.
  • Support data transformation, validation, and quality assurance processes.
  • Apply analytical techniques including segmentation, trend analysis, descriptive statistics, and anomaly detection to identify actionable insights.
  • Document methodologies, assumptions, business rules, and technical processes to support knowledge sharing and audit readiness


Stakeholder Partnership & Communication
  • Collaborate with managers, senior managers, and cross-functional business partners to understand analytical needs and deliver meaningful insights.
  • Translate technical findings into clear, concise recommendations for business audiences.
  • Participate in stakeholder meetings and contribute to discussions regarding analytical approaches and business opportunities.
  • Support the presentation of findings through written reports, dashboards, and verbal communications.


Continuous Improvement & Professional Development
  • Participate in code reviews, peer reviews, and knowledge-sharing activities.
  • Develop an understanding of PPL's business operations, including Medicaid programs, self-directed services, payroll operations, program performance, and compliance requirements.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of analytics standards, methodologies, and best practices.
  • Stay current on emerging analytics technologies, tools, and industry trends.

Required Skills:
  • Strong SQL skills with demonstrated ability to develop complex queries utilizing joins, common table expressions (CTEs), aggregations, and window functions.
  • Working knowledge of Python for data analysis, data manipulation, and automation.
  • Understanding of data modeling concepts, including conceptual, logical, and physical data models.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and work independently within established deadlines.


Qualifications:

Education/Experience:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Economics, Engineering, Information Systems, Mathematics, Business Analytics, or a related quantitative field; equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.
  • Two (2) to four (4) years of professional experience in analytics, business intelligence, data analysis, consulting, or a related field.
  • Experience with modern data platforms and analytics technologies such as Databricks, Snowflake, Azure Data Factory, Azure Synapse, Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools.
  • Experience working in healthcare, Medicaid, government programs, payroll operations, financial services, or other regulated industries.
  • Familiarity with cloud-based data architectures and data transformation frameworks.
  • Exposure to statistical analysis, predictive modeling, or data science methodologies.
  • Experience supporting cross-functional business initiatives through analytics and reporting.

Compensation: $104,000-$117,000

This role is eligible for a base salary within the posted range. Actual compensation will be determined based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and geographic location. Compensation may vary for positions based in high cost-of-labor markets.
