Overview

Reporting to the Director, Finance Business Partner (FBP), the Senior Financial Analyst supports TC Media Books and its divisions by providing financial analyses and recommendations to support decision-making and contribute to strategic objectives. This role involves close collaboration with operational teams to understand their activities, identify opportunities and risks, and support optimal resource allocation.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze and interpret financial data to assess performance and profitability.
  • Prepare financial reports and KPIs, highlighting trends, opportunities, and variances.
  • Conduct financial analyses and formulate strategic recommendations.
  • Contribute to the preparation of budgets, forecasts, and management presentations.
  • Collaborate with operational teams to support financial initiatives and strategies.
  • Participate in special projects and respond to ad hoc requests from management.
  • Support strategic objectives and business development initiatives of the business units as needed.
  • Support operational analysis, including cost analysis and savings related to continuous improvement.
  • Participate in project evaluations, monitor project progress, and perform post-project analyses for investment projects.
