This role plays a crucial part in the development of software products, ensuring that all quality and performance requirements are met before release. This position involves meticulous testing, debugging, and suggesting improvements to guarantee that applications function correctly, are error-free, and are of high quality. The role serves as a key safeguard against software failures that, if undetected, could lead to significant operational risk and user dissatisfaction. Candidates should have a solid foundation in automation and manual testing, with skills in TypeScript and familiarity with CI/CD tools.
Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and executing test cases to diagnose issues and bugs, and creating robust and stable software solutions.
- Identifying, isolating, and tracking bugs throughout testing.
- Recording test progress and results.
- Creating logging and tracking systems that can be used by other team members and for future troubleshooting.
- Collaborating with the development team to discuss performance issues and brainstorm potential improvements.
- Coordinating with other team members to refine test cases.
- Reviewing software documentation to ensure technical accuracy, compliance, or completeness, or to mitigate risks.
- Conducting regression testing, documenting results, and suggesting enhancements.
- Utilizing tools for automated testing to streamline the testing process and increase efficiency.
- Assessing code releases for quality and reliability before they are deployed in a live environment.
- Ensuring quality user experience and interface functionality.
- Maintaining updated knowledge of industry trends and advancements.
Education and Work Experience:
- Bachelor's Degree OR combination of education and experience deemed equivalent (Required)
- Acceptable areas of study include Computer Science or a related field. Instead of a degree, we may consider equivalent industry experience.
- 2-4 years of related work experience. (Preferred)
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Experience in testing methods such as functional testing, regression testing usability testing, or automated testing, depending on the industry (Preferred)
- Experience using defect tracking tools like JIRA (Preferred)
- Familiarity with version control platforms such as Git (Required)
- Strong collaboration skills, including the ability to work closely with developers, engineers, or operations teams to resolve quality issues (Preferred)
- Basic scripting or programming knowledge (e.g., Python, JavaScript, or TypeScript) for QA automation or software testing (Required)
- Experience with Playwright with TypeScript (Preferred)
- Automation Framework maintenance (Preferred)
- GitLab CI/CD pipeline creation and maintenance (Preferred)
- API Automation Testing using Postman (Required)
- Automation of REST APIs (Required)
- Strong understanding of Wiremock Concepts (Preferred)
- At least 18 years of age
- Legally authorized to work in the United States

Base Pay Range: $69,000 - $124,500
Corporate Bonus Target: 10%
The pay range above is the general base pay range for a successful candidate in the role. The successful candidate’s actual pay will be based on various factors, such as work location, qualifications, and experience, so the actual starting pay will vary within this range.
At T-Mobile, employees in regular, non-temporary roles are eligible for an annual bonus or periodic sales incentive or bonus, based on their role. Most Corporate employees are eligible for a year-end bonus based on company and/or individual performance and which is set at a percentage of the employee’s eligible earnings in the prior year. Certain positions in Customer Care are eligible for monthly bonuses based on individual and/or team performance.
