Salary range
The salary range for this position is CAD $35.36 - $50.83 / hour

 

Reporting to a Leader, within the People Health, Well-being & Safety portfolio, the Analyst, OH&S Systems and Services, provides support in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of new and existing local or provincial OH&S systems, such as; Core Health Applications or new OH&S technology platforms. This is a Relief, Full-Time Position.

  • Provides systems analysis by participating in the establishment of system scope and objectives, conducting feasibility studies, planning or modifying procedures to solve system problems, and preparing detailed specifications for development work. Solves existing systems logic difficulties as required.
  • Provides business analysis by performing functions such as work flow analysis, developing business information requirements and models, assisting in defining business scope and objectives, planning, designing, or modifying practical manual and automated business procedures.  Translates business requirements into new workflows and creates frameworks to evaluate effectiveness.
  • Participates in strategic planning support and change management services by assisting the Leader, Project Lead or Client Partner on projects and supports the selection, procurement and implementation of appropriate information systems applications; conducts feasibility studies, workload efficiency analysis using formal data gathering techniques; identifies system deficiencies, user department operational inefficiencies and ways of improving business efficiency functions.
  • Under the direction of the Leader, Project Lead or the Client Partner, participates in information systems projects representing the business needs of the People Health, Well-being & Safety portfolio by providing business systems analysis support.
  • Provides third level application support and ensures that the application service level agreement is maintained and meets business expectations and Information Management capabilities.

Supporting the Vision, Values, Purpose and Commitments of Fraser Health including service delivery that is centered around patients/clients/residents and families:

 

Reporting to a Leader, within the People Health, Well-being & Safety portfolio, the Analyst, OH&S Systems and Services, provides support to the Client Partner, Project Lead and Leader in the design, development, implementation, and evaluation of new and existing local or provincial OH&S systems & services, such as; Physician Services integration, Core Health Applications, Psychological Health & Safety projects and initiatives or new OH&S technology platforms. Analyses business process reengineering concepts and methods and provides documentation of business requirements on information management, OHS and Psychological Health & Safety projects and initiatives. Provides analyst and project support for all phases of assigned systems development and implementation projects including providing hands-on application support. Leads smaller information system projects as assigned with support from Client Partner, Project Lead or Leader, as necessary.

  • Under the direction of the Leader, Project Lead, or the Client Partner, participates in information systems projects representing the business needs of the People Health, Well-being & Safety portfolio by providing business systems analysis support.
  • Provides third level application support and ensures that the application service level agreement is maintained and meets business expectations and Information Management capabilities.
  • Maintains knowledge on current technology solutions (WHITE.net, Core Health, WebIIT, SafetyTask, SharePoint and other similar applications) available for ongoing improvements to service delivery.
  • Participates in local and/or provincial project teams for the development of new processes and systems/tools to enhance OH&S services delivery.
  • Meets with stakeholders to facilitate consensus, consultation, and the sharing of information; liaises with consultants, vendors, other health care entities and other external agencies.
  • Keeps current on the interpretation and application of relevant articles in the collective agreements, human rights legislation, WSBC regulations and applicable other external regulations, provincial standards, practices, and protocols.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
  • Qualifications

    Bachelor's Degree with a focus on Business Administration, Human Resources, and/or Health Information Management, plus two (2) to four (4) years' experience with business and systems analysis or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience. Experience in the field of Health & Safety business support is preferred. COMPETENCIES:
