Job Description:
Philip Morris USA is on the lookout for a sharp, results-driven Manufacturing Analyst to power our Maintenance Planning & Scheduling team in Richmond, Virginia. As the Analyst, you will be an integral member of our team, responsible for providing in-depth data analysis, reporting, and insights to support organizational decision-making. This role requires attention to detail, and the ability to communicate complex findings to diverse audiences.

You will also provide critical staffing decision support for all IAM craft positions within the Manufacturing Center (MC), following existing contractual requirements and daily production and maintenance requirements.

What you will be doing:
  • Staff the MC for Maintenance Mechanics, Sheetmetal, Pipefitters and Instrument Electricians across all 3 shifts, weekend, weeklong, holidays and shutdowns.
  • Coordinate Pulls, openings and transfers within IAM population. Collaborate with Management on impacts of such activity by making recommendations as needed.
  • Serve as liaison between IAM Union and management to resolve staffing issues.
  • Manage updates and changes to all IAM vacation requests.
  • Manage the automated system for IAM Overtime and Vacation Solicitation, keeping all tables and profiles up to date with changes to ensure accurate output.
  • Maintain a reconciled headcount to budget with Human Resources and Finance.
  • Present insights and recommendations to management and other key stakeholders.


What we want you to have:
  • Bachelor's degree in a technical field is preferred or possesses a minimum of ten years of experience in a field related to maintenance and/or staffing
  • Experience in working subject to labor contracts
  • Strong analytical skills to create staffing solutions in atypical scenarios
  • Proficiency in end-user computer skills (Excel, WorkBrain)
  • Project management experience is a plus.


The starting salary is based on but not limited to experience, knowledge, and qualifications in determining compensation decisions. The Salary Range for this position is: $80,800.00 - $118,750.00.
