Job Summary
We are seeking an Analyst, Item Compliance - Rules to support item risk management by analyzing item data, developing compliance rules, and enforcing marketplace policies across eCommerce platforms. This role partners with cross-functional teams to improve rule effectiveness, identify compliance risks, and ensure a safe and trusted online shopping experience. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, analytical, customer-focused, and thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Key Responsibilities
• Monitor online marketplace listings to ensure compliance with established policies and guidelines.
• Analyze item data to identify compliance risks, trends, and emerging issues.
• Monitor reports, news sources, and internal data to identify potential item risks and policy violations.
• Develop and refine rule logic to enforce marketplace policies and compliance standards.
• Identify gaps and recommend enhancements to improve rule effectiveness and operational efficiency.
• Troubleshoot item data issues and perform root cause analysis.
• Analyze rule performance and measure effectiveness through data-driven insights.
• Test, validate, and optimize compliance rules and enforcement processes.
• Audit rules to minimize business impact while ensuring policy compliance.
• Collaborate with Compliance, Policy Governance, Merchandising, Retail, Operations, Product, and other cross-functional teams.
• Communicate findings, recommendations, and compliance updates to stakeholders.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives for item compliance and risk management.

Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree or 3+ years of equivalent professional experience.
• Experience with Microsoft Excel and data analysis.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently with a high degree of initiative and meet deadlines.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams across multiple time zones and cultures.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in eCommerce, retail, customer service, compliance, SEO/SEM, or content review/moderation.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to investigate and resolve complex issues.
• Experience with SQL.
• Experience using Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow, or Salesforce.
• Comfortable working with ambiguous situations and reviewing potentially sensitive or offensive content.
• Interest in online shopping, gaming, or digital marketplace trends.
