JOB SUMMARY

The IT Business Solutions Analyst will support integrated projects and strategic initiatives through collaboration with HonorHealth stakeholders and Information Technology (IT). This role works independently to identify key stakeholders and facilitate development discussions to understand and define operational needs, leveraging subject matter experts as appropriate. The IT Business Solutions Analyst must communicate effectively with technical and non-technical audiences and take lead on research, data gathering, documentation, and analysis of business requirements to translate them into proposed solutions. The Business Solutions Analyst will work with cross-functional stakeholders and third-party entities to define requirements and develop innovative solutions to increase efficiency.
The IT Business Solutions Analyst will facilitate discovery sessions to determine project scope, develop project charters, and review with impacted stakeholders. This includes following the IT project intake process to produce high quality professional documents using the project management toolsets implemented by IT. This role is responsible to develop current and future state workflows and define build requirements to meet the operational owner's goals and objectives. This includes gaining alignment across the various application teams and customer service lines to recommend complex workflow, design and technical solutions associated with the introduction of new products, services, enhancements, site / unit builds and relocations.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

  • Job Duties:
    Establishes a rapport with business, vendor and IT partners that fosters productive communications and gains a full understanding of the business needs.
    In support of the organizations commitment to financial stewardship, the IT Business Solutions Analyst will evaluate potential ROI and recommend fiscally responsible solutions that are aligned with organizational objectives.
    Possesses customer service skills and be able to work well in a team environment.
    Should be a confident and independent thinker, capable of making solid business decisions.
    Understand build impact to systems; recommends alternative approaches and proposes solutions.
    Consults on system testing activities to ensure system is developed according to defined requirements.
    May assist in developing user acceptance test plans and assists operational customers with testing functionality.
    Have an in-depth understanding of service-line specific technology roadmaps and the ability to find and recommend solutions that strategically align with the organizations vision. Evaluates vendor or 3rd party solutions to assess fit to satisfy business needs in alignment with the service-line technology roadmaps.
    Participate in proposal reviews and vendor assessments as needed to support the best solution fit to satisfy requirements.
  • Teamwork, Collaboration, Professionalism and Leadership:
    Demonstrates the ability to facilitate meetings with all levels of stakeholders to prioritize needs, set expectations and brings new functionality/design for review.
    Comfortable working in a matrix resource environment and influencing people through collaboration and mutual trust.
    Proactively anticipates problems and provides solutions/suggestions as needed.
    Ability to work with teams of various sizes that may include peers, managers, vendors, customers, and consultants.
  • Project Management:
    Lead project or program initiatives utilizing appropriate project management techniques to plan, monitor, manage and report on the implementation process and status of projects and work activities.
    Assist with updates and review of work plans, including task assignments and resource coordination for projects as applicable.
    Evaluate projects as they move through the delivery lifecycle to ensure accuracy and consistency.
    Successfully drive outcomes that deliver best practice, optimal workflows with high adoption, effective utilization of standard platforms and network standardization.
  • Change Control:
    Acts as an advisor and ensures compliance on established change management procedures for testing, documenting, and communicating system changes.
    Complies with HonorHealth policies and procedures in addition to the Mission, Vision and Values.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.


EDUCATION

  • Bachelors or 4 years' work related experience Degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, or related field Required
  • Masters Degree in Healthcare, Business, Information Systems (IS), Computer Science, or related field Preferred


EXPERIENCE

  • 3 years experience as a Business Analyst, Project Manager, Application Analyst or similar role. Required
  • 5 years relevant experience Required
  • Other Relevant experience in a healthcare setting. Preferred


LICENSE AND CERTIFICATIONS

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) - Certification, Professional Business Analysis Certification (IIBA, PMP) Preferred
  • Six Sigma Certification - Certification, Six Sigma or Lean Preferred
  • Epic Certification - Certificate, Epic Certification Preferred
  • ITIL/SRE Preferred
