Overview

The Analyst III, Epic Application Professional Billing and Claims is responsible for the design, configuration, testing, and support of the Epic Professional Billing and Claims modules. This role ensures accurate and efficient billing workflows, claim generation, and revenue cycle operations by collaborating with finance, billing, and operational teams.

Responsibilities
  • Serves as a subject matter expert (SME) for the Epic Professional Billing and Claims applications or advanced system features.
  • Leads medium scale projects, including scoping, design, implementation, testing, and go-live support.
  • Collaborates with cross-functional teams to optimize workflows, integrate Epic with other systems, and enhance user experience
  • Build and maintain Epic PB and Claims functionality to support billing and claims workflows.
  • Owns highly complex projects, such as multi-module implementations or enterprise-wide systems upgrades; leads medium-scale projects, including scoping, design, implementation, testing and go-live support.
  • Other duties and responsibilities as assigned

Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in IT, healthcare, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Multiple Epic certifications or mastery in a key module. Professional Billing and/or Claims.
  • Epic certification must be current or have been actively utilized within the past two years.
  • 3+ years of relevant experience.
  • Strong project management and leadership skills.

Preferred
  • Professional certifications in healthcare information systems or business applications.
  • Experience in managing clinical and business information systems within a healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of dental operations, integrated care delivery systems, and healthcare application ecosystems.
  • Demonstrated experience leading patient experience or digital engagement initiatives.
