As an Analyst, Finance Transformation, you will play a key role in supporting Canfor's Finance Transformation journey. Working closely with the Manager, Finance Transformation and the Director, Shared Services & Finance Transformation, you'll help identify opportunities for process improvement, support organization-wide change initiatives, and leverage digital tools to enhance efficiency across Finance.

A Day in the Life of a Finance Transformation Analyst includes:
  • Support finance transformation initiatives that drive process improvements and operational efficiencies across the organization.
  • Champion change management efforts by helping finance teams and stakeholders adopt new processes, technologies, and ways of working.
  • Analyze existing finance processes, identify opportunities for simplification, and recommend solutions that leverage automation and AI.
  • Collaborate with Finance, IT, and business stakeholders to support the implementation of digital tools and technologies.
  • Development and enhancement of solutions using Power Apps, Power Automate, Power BI, and other automation platforms.
  • Facilitate cross-functional collaboration to improve business processes and promote innovation.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement projects across all areas of Finance.
  • Support training initiatives and knowledge sharing to strengthen digital and transformation capabilities within the Finance team.
  • Help document policies, processes, and procedures to support consistency and operational excellence.


For this role, you'll come equipped with:
  • Degree in Business, Commerce, Accounting, or a related field.
  • 3+ years of experience in finance transformation, process improvement, business analysis, or a similar role.
  • Experience supporting change management, digital transformation, and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Understanding and application of policies, processes, and procedures, including documentation.
  • Experience using Power Apps and Power Automate to streamline business processes, along with advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Office applications.
  • Strong collaboration skills with experience working across cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with Power BI, Coupa, and/or JD Edwards is considered an asset.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage competing priorities.
  • Excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Growth mindset with a passion for continuous improvement and innovation.

The salary range for this position is: $81,000.00-$116,000.00
