You will be embedded within the Energy & Energy Transition sector coverage team, supporting execution across M&A, capital raises, strategic advisory, and leveraged finance transactions.

As an Analyst in Investment Banking Coverage, you will join a team with a strong track record and play a key role in expanding Santander’s energy practice.
Support deal execution, including preparing pitch books, client presentations, and transaction materials
Perform detailed valuation analysis, including discounted cash flow, trading comparables, transaction comparables, and LBO analysis
Manage due diligence processes and coordinate across internal teams and client counterparties
Actively participate in client meetings and deal discussions
Conduct in-depth industry and company research to support origination and client strategy
Engage directly with senior bankers and clients, contributing to live transactions and developing strategic insights

To perform this role successfully, candidates should demonstrate the following:
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, STEM, or a related field – Required
1–3 years of relevant experience in investment banking, corporate finance, accounting/audit, or within the energy or infrastructure sector – Preferred
Strong understanding of corporate finance and investment banking products, with energy experience preferred
Advanced proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint, including financial modeling and valuation
High ownership mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment
Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with a desire to contribute to team building and culture
It Would Be Nice For You To Have:
Established work history or equivalent demonstrated through a combination of work experience, training, military service, or education.
FINRA licenses (SIE, Series 63, Series 79) or ability to obtain within 90 days of hire.
