Job Summary
The Analyst/Developer - Specialty 3 is a backend software engineering role focused on Python, microservices, APIs, cloud-native development, and distributed systems. The role involves developing scalable backend platforms and integrations supporting simulation, Digital Twin, NVIDIA platforms, and enterprise cloud architectures. The ideal candidate is a hands-on engineer who can solve complex integration challenges and contribute to innovative technologies involving Digital Twins and simulation environments.
Key Responsibilities
• Design, develop, and maintain backend microservices supporting enterprise integration platforms.
• Build RESTful APIs, gRPC services, and event-driven integrations for simulation and Digital Twin environments.
• Develop scalable cloud-native services using modern backend development practices.
• Create integration adapters between enterprise applications, NVIDIA platforms, and simulation environments.
• Support Digital Twin asset exchange using OpenUSD/USD or similar technologies.
• Develop asynchronous processing workflows, including orchestration, retries, idempotency, and event handling.
• Manage object storage, artifact lifecycle, metadata, versioning, and traceability.
• Define API contracts, event schemas, and integration standards.
• Design and implement automated integration testing and contract testing frameworks.
• Participate in architecture reviews, sprint planning, technical discussions, and solution design.
• Collaborate with internal engineering teams, NVIDIA partners, and external vendors.
• Troubleshoot production issues and optimize application performance.
• Contribute to CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, observability, and operational readiness.
• Analyze business requirements and recommend scalable software solutions.
• Modify and enhance existing software to improve functionality, performance, and maintainability.
• Evaluate and adopt AI coding tools to improve developer productivity.
• Develop AI playbooks, standards, blueprints, and engineering guidelines.
• Support training and upskilling of development teams on AI-assisted engineering practices.
• Measure AI adoption, developer productivity, automation, sprint velocity, and engineering efficiency.
Required Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Robotics, or a related technical field.
• 5+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience developing backend microservices.
• Experience designing and developing REST APIs and gRPC services.
• Strong Python development experience.
• Experience with distributed systems and enterprise integrations.
• Experience building cloud-native applications using AWS, Azure, or GCP.
• Experience with event-driven and asynchronous architectures.
• Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and analytical skills.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience with AI-assisted software development platforms such as GitHub Copilot, Cursor, Claude Code, Devin.ai, or similar tools.
• Ability to develop AI engineering playbooks, standards, and guidelines.
• Strong communication and cross-functional collaboration skills.
