Overview

We are seeking analysts to join our 2027 Debt Analyst Class. As a part of our Analyst Program, you will work in Bellwether's debt platform and will be responsible for supporting the asset management team in preserving and creating value in the existing portfolio. Our three-week robust training program provides instruction in financial modeling, fund-level reporting, underwriting debt investments, utilization of CRE software (e.g., Argus, Yardi, etc.) and more. You will also work alongside the investment team in the origination, underwriting and execution of real estate debt-related investment opportunities across various property types. Throughout the program, analysts play an integral role in supporting the team by maintaining complex financial analyses, evaluating monthly operating reports and interacting directly with sponsors through leasing calls. We are looking for dynamic team players with strong integrity and the ability to succeed in a highly entrepreneurial environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the proactive monitoring and management of a portfolio of debt investments across various property types
  • Review and analyze business plans, leasing activity and monthly property operating performance
  • Perform market-level due diligence
  • Maintain detailed and complex asset-level cash flow reforecasting models
  • Organize investment level data on a monthly and quarterly reporting basis
  • Once fully proficient, oversee and train incoming analysts
  • Evaluate and analyze potential new debt investments and assist with due diligence, underwriting and execution of said investments
  • Supporting AI initiatives and the development of programs to improve the efficiency and accuracy of workflow
  • Perform additional ad-hoc analysis, as needed


Education and Experience

  • A bachelor's degree is required with an expected graduation date between December 2026 and Summer 2027
  • Advanced financial modeling and analytical skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite

Travel Requirements

Travel to assets and client sites required on an as-needed basis, approximately once per month depending on deal list.

Compensation & Benefits

El Segundo: Base Salary $100,000, plus discretionary bonus and sign-on bonus

Dallas: Base Salary $85,000, plus discretionary bonus and sign-on bonus

Offered salary is based on a variety of factors, including skills, experience, and qualifications for the role. Other compensation includes a discretionary bonus and a sign-on bonus.
