Full Job Description
Aday in the life as a Sustainability Data Analyst:

Sustainability Data Coordination and Assurance: Gather and manage data for current reporting years from both internal and external collaborators (offices, warehouses, distribution centers, 3PLs, third-party supply chain partners), while conducting analysis, verifying information, and producing internal/external reports. Build and maintain Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance (ESG) reporting structure following the respective ESG reporting frameworks (e.g., GRI, SASB). Perform verification and quality assurance of data to ensure accuracy.

Manage Sustainability Data Management platforms: Support ongoing use and maintenance of the global Sustainability Management and Reporting (SMR) platforms. Support data systems integration to incorporate various company and external data sources into the SMR platforms (Watershed, Worldly, CDP etc.).

Data Analysis and Tracking: Manage, transform and analyze large sustainability data sets (electricity, energy, waste, water, packaging etc.). Develop insights to advise energy efficiency, energy procurement, and additional environmental initiatives and help achieve sustainability team goals. Work multi-functionally to gather supporting documentation for ESG Raters and Ranker submissions (including JUST Capital, S&P Global, ISS, and Sustainalytics), retailer requests, and other ESG data inquires. Additionally, manage reporting tracker and calendar.

Support Reporting: Support required compliance reporting related to carbon emissions, extended producer responsibility (EPR) and other sustainability reporting schemes.

Communication, Training and Collaboration: Work with the Global Sustainability Team to accurately communicate energy program initiatives and achievements to internal and external partners. Assist in training and education of data collection concepts and practices and the use of the SMR and external reporting platforms. Engage with sourcing and procurement teams to collect and report product and packaging environmental impact data.

What you'll bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in a field related to Data/Computer Science, Sustainability, Accounting, Energy/Environmental Management, Environmental Engineering/Science, or other analytics degree.
  • 0 - 3 years of related experience with environmental sustainability data collection and analysis.
  • Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving skills, especially using large energy datasets.
  • Comfortable using G-Suite tools (Sheets, Docs, Slides, Forms).
  • Sophisticated skills with Microsoft Excel and/or google spreadsheets and macros.
  • Experience building data visualizations hosted on web-based platforms (e.g., Tableau, Looker, Power BI, SQL).
  • Experience with sustainability platforms such as Watershed or Workiva is a plus.


The pay transparency range for this role is listed below. The hiring range will vary based on factors such as experience, skills, location and market conditions. Additionally, employees may be eligible for annual and long-term incentives as part of their overall compensation package.

$70,200-$105,300 USD
