Full Job Description
The Business Intelligence Team develops analytical tools that streamline reporting and decision-making across Madison Square Garden's family of companies (MSG Entertainment, MSG Sports, and the Sphere). Supporting functions including ticket sales, marketing and communications, global partnerships, and venue operations, the BI Team delivers enterprise-wide insights that directly shape strategy for some of the most iconic brands in live entertainment, such as the Knicks and Rangers, Rockettes, and other exciting events at MSG's world class venues.

The Analyst Business Intelligence will play a key role in Marketing Partnerships Analytics, owning highly visible Tableau reporting, visualizations, and data pipelines for the Global Partnerships organization. The Analyst will meet frequently with stakeholders in New Sales, Partner Management, and Finance to evaluate data needs, align processes, and promote data governance. The ideal candidate will be passionate about the field of analytics and the Sports & Entertainment industry, with strong attention to detail and an eagerness to learn about the partnerships space. The Analyst will collaborate closely with colleagues within the Enterprise Data & Analytics department, joining a team culture of intellectual curiosity and problem-solving.

What will you do?
  • Provide exceptional experiences for our guests, partners, and team members, including by adhering to our appearance and presentation guidelines while on-site.
  • Partner with business stakeholders to define their business intelligence needs and work with data engineers to develop solutions
  • Leverage full range of Tableau platform technologies to design, build, maintain, and optimize data visualizations and other self-service tools that provide actionable insights that enhance business decision-making
  • Modernize partnerships data pipelines using Python and SQL
  • Deliver client recaps on marketing asset performance to demonstrate value
  • Utilize research tools, such as survey result platforms, to help support the partnerships team
  • Champion data governance by establishing and communicating standards for how partnership data is entered, maintained, and structured in Salesforce to ensure reporting accuracy and consistency

What do you need to succeed?
  • 2-4 years of related experience
  • Bachelor's degree, or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong proficiency in Tableau or a similar Data Visualization tool required
  • Proficiency in Python required
  • Proficiency in SQL to query data efficiently preferred
  • Familiarity with Salesforce or a similar CRM tool preferred
  • Must be curious and have a self-driven enthusiasm for problem-solving
  • Ability to synthesize technical data and present clearly and confidently to stakeholders at all levels
  • Strong organizational skills and follow-through
  • Experience in the media, sports, or entertainment industry is a plus

Pay Range

$65,000-$105,000 USD
