Full Job Description
The Role

Redding Ridge is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join its Corporate Credit Ratings team in New York, NY. The Analyst/Associate will have primary ownership of the credit estimate process across credit estimates and corporate/infrastructure private letter ratings, covering the full workflow from initial borrower financial package preparation and rating agency submission through ongoing estimate tracking and CLO compliance input maintenance. The position primarily supports credit estimate activity for borrowers in ADL and corporate infrastructure lending CLO pools, and sits at the intersection of RRAM's structuring functions and Apollo's direct lending business, with direct access to RRAM's long-standing rating agency relationships, built across a platform that has helped issue and rate over $250 billion of debt since 2020.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Prepare borrower financial packages for submission to S&P Global Ratings and Fitch Ratings, including financial statements, credit agreements, and supporting documentation formatted to meet rating agency submission requirements.
  • Build and maintain financial data tapes for rating agency submissions, ensuring accuracy and completeness of borrower-level financial metrics at each refresh cycle.
  • Track credit estimate status and refresh cycles across the CLO portfolio, maintaining a current submission pipeline and flagging estimates approaching expiration or pending update.
  • Coordinate with structuring and portfolio management teams to align credit estimate timing with CLO transaction requirements and compliance testing calendars.
  • Serve as the primary operational contact with S&P and Fitch analysts on active credit estimate submissions, managing information requests and response timelines.
  • Maintain the integrity of credit estimate inputs used in CLO compliance calculations, including weighted average rating factor, diversity score, and overcollateralization and interest coverage ratios.

Skills & Qualifications
  • 2 to 4 years of relevant experience in structured credit, at a rating agency, or at a direct lending or middle market credit platform.
  • Familiarity with S&P or Fitch corporate rating methodologies, including the credit estimate framework and the criteria used to assess unrated obligors.
  • Experience reading and interpreting credit agreements, loan documentation, and borrower financial statements.
  • Strong Excel skills and comfort with data management, including financial data tape construction and tracking spreadsheet maintenance.
  • Working knowledge of CLO indenture compliance concepts, including weighted average rating factor, diversity score, and overcollateralization and interest coverage ratios.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to manage correspondence with external rating agency contacts.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail; capable of managing multiple active credit estimate submissions and tracking cycles concurrently.
  • Demonstrates intellectual curiosity, takes initiative, and responds constructively to feedback.
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field.
