Job Summary:
The AmTrust Mainframe Engineer will support and maintain mainframe applications for a large financial organization, with a primary focus on AmTrust and mainframe technologies. The role will be responsible for managing system alerts and releases, compiling, installing, testing, and implementing changes, as well as supporting custom reporting and data interfaces. The ideal candidate will also analyze existing processes and recommend technical and operational improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain and support mainframe applications and keep systems current with applicable alerts and releases.
• Work with AmTrust or comparable investment management software to manage system updates and changes.
• Pull alerts and updates from AmTrust and support the compilation, installation, testing, and implementation of changes.
• Develop and maintain COBOL-based mainframe applications and processes.
• Use SAS to run custom reports and generate data for interfaces with other applications.
• Work with VSAM and JCL as part of mainframe application development and support.
• Analyze existing technical and operational processes and recommend improvements.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to troubleshoot issues and implement system enhancements.
• Support ongoing maintenance, testing, and production implementation activities.
Required Qualifications:
• 10+ years of experience working with COBOL mainframe environments.
• 5+ years of experience with SAS, VSAM, and JCL.
• 2+ years of experience with AmTrust or AMAdministrator.
• Strong experience supporting mainframe applications, releases, testing, and implementations.
• Experience working with investment management software in a mainframe environment.
• Ability to analyze existing processes and identify opportunities for technical and operational improvement.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience with Global Plus.
• Experience with other investment management platforms such as SEI.
