Position overview

We are looking for a strategic and results-driven Americas Engineering and Maintenance Manager to lead and elevate our regional engineering and maintenance function. In this role, you will act as a key driver of asset optimization, capital investment strategy, and operational excellence across multiple sites.

You will partner closely with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure the effective allocation of capital, enhance maintenance practices, and lead transformation initiatives that improve reliability, safety, and overall performance. This is a highly visible leadership position for someone who enjoys influencing through collaboration, driving continuous improvement, and delivering sustainable results across a diverse regional footprint.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and oversee Americas capital spend reporting, forecasting, and prioritization to address budgetary challenges proactively.
  • Collaborate with site teams to develop and implement a 5-year asset management plan, including major repairs and replacements.
  • Drive regional best practices and continuous improvement initiatives across engineering and maintenance standards, including mechanical integrity and outage planning.
  • Develop high-level capital estimates and partner with Finance, Manufacturing, and Business teams to build robust business cases for strategic projects.
  • Identify and implement cost-effective engineering solutions to optimize capital expenditures without compromising safety, quality, or performance.
  • Support and evaluate engineering solutions for new equipment, processes, and modifications to existing operations.
  • Lead the transfer and implementation of new process technologies and best practices across manufacturing sites.
  • Influence, coach, and develop site engineering and maintenance leaders through a strong indirect leadership model.
  • Actively engage with key stakeholders on strategic capital projects, ensuring alignment and effective execution.
  • Communicate critical project updates and provide technical support to manufacturing teams as needed.


Required skills and experience

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in the chemical industry, preferably in project engineering, maintenance, or technical support roles.
  • Strong leadership, initiative, and interpersonal skills.
  • Solid technical knowledge of industrial equipment and processes.
  • Excellent planning, scheduling, and organizational capabilities.
  • Structured and analytical mindset with fact-based decision-making skills.
  • Strong cost estimation and financial acumen.
  • Proven ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization, internally and externally.
  • Ability to thrive in a collaborative, cross-functional environment.
  • Strong communication skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, Process Engineering, or a related technical field.
  • Master's Degree in Engineering or MBA is preferred.
