Responsibilities

  • Support the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System in planning and executing deployments.
  • Plan, monitor, and execute mobilization and deployment of equipment effectively.
  • Act as the primary liaison between Washington Field Office leadership and Army Secretariat/HQDA personnel.

Summary:

The AMC Liaison Specialist V shall perform analysis and facilitate coordination of issues that are of interest to the Army Materiel Command, ASCC, and HQDA. The contractor shall provide relevant information to AMC to facilitate mission execution, synchronization, management policies, processes, and procedures, identify root causes for organizational misunderstanding of Army Materiel Command programs and policies that support Army objectives and provide recommendations for corrective actions to resolve problems, garner support, and enhance awareness of Army Materiel Command's contribution to the ASCC.

Responsibilities

Essential Job Functions:

  • Ensures plans and itineraries provide for appropriate meetings, briefings, and site visits, and provides advice in preparation of materials and briefings.
  • Communicate the AMC position on various issues and provides feedback on reactions of the agencies concerned and AMC informed on mission requirements, current and future operations, and sustainment shortfalls.
  • Shall keep Army Materiel Command leadership/staff apprised through briefings and weekly written report (Information Paper or Executive Summary) to AMC G3 Operations and Readiness Directorate.
  • Shall exercise tact, discretion, and judgment concerning inquiries/replies received from or conveyed to other agencies; advise and assist with development and assembly of background data and documentation; research and evaluate program policies.
  • Provide support for the Joint Operations Planning and Execution System (JOPES) to provide support in planning, coordinating and executing joint operations and deployments worldwide.
  • Utilize the system to plan, monitor and execute mobilizations, deployment/employment of equipment and execute mobilization.
  • Shall act as the primary communication bridge between the Washington Field Office leadership and Army Secretariate/HQDA staffs.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

Necessary Skills and Knowledge:

  • Ability to handle multiple simultaneous assignments.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s Degree in strategic studies or related field.
  • Minimum of 15 years if senior-level experience in the Army or Joint staff conducting strategic planning, sustainment operations, or enterprise-Level 4 program or equivalent.
  • Completion of DoW-approved Military Education Level 4 program or equivalent.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience operating on an Army Service Component Command or Major Army Command G4 Staff.
  • Experience in converting complex Army and DoW policies into actionable plans that support theater operations and mission execution.
  • Experience in preparing execution-level briefings, managing information flow, and enabling operational readiness.
  • Experience in summarizing complex concepts into executive-level papers or presentations.
  • Active Top-Secret/SCI Clearance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Any related professional certifications.

 

Pay and Benefits

The annual salary range for this position is $135,000 to $170,000.
